Great history and renovation Disappointed in room offered initially so they would work on getting us another room and text me when it was ready. Did not receive a text and when I returned the room was ready but for the wait I thought it would be better. Amy called and asked if they could do anything and offered a bottle of wine, I said a bourbon would be acceptable and she said yes but no discount was ever applied to our bill We had a reservation here a few years ago and got bumped due to overbooking due to the Georgia Vandy game. I just thought this time would be a makeup

This hotel is gorgeous and historic! The moment we walked in we loved it. Not only that but minutes after I booked they contacted me about any thing they could do to make my stay homey. Temperature of the room, extra pillows etc... every one of the staff were especially courteous and timely in meeting our needs. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated. Everything was perfect. Definitely will be back here on our next trip to Nashville!

I had a wonderful stay overall. My only disappointment was that the morning of my first day I woke up to the news that there wouldn't be any water available from 11:00am until 1:00pm. I had just finished my workout at 11:05am and planned to meet friends for lunch at Noon. I think I should have been told this was happening upon check in the previous evening so I could have planned. There was a paper in the room but I didn't read it as I got in late and figured it was just a welcome letter. I asked the concierge at around 12:45pm if the water was on yet and he simply stated he did not know. There was no attempt to find out. Then I went up to my room and upon testing and seeing there was no water I called the front desk to inquire if in fact it would be returned to service at 1pm and the woman said Yes. At 1:05pm I had missed my lunch and there was still no water. I called front desk and the woman (Char?) said she would check into it and call me back. At 1:20pm I had no call back or water. I couldn't miss any more of the rare beautiful sunshine of that day so I left sweaty and cranky. I asked the lady at the front desk what the deal was with the water and told her I had missed my lunch plans because of this. She was very apologetic and said she believed the water would be back on at 2pm. Understand... there was NO water. No toilet, toothbrushing or anything. I understand things like this happen but it wasn't handled well at all by the Hermitage Hotel.
