For diamond club The pool and beach were very nice with plenty of fun activities and food options. the room was very nice and modern but had a strong musty smell. the power went out daily one day for 8 hours. communication was poor and staff inconsistent. food was good in general with plenty of options. better management could make this resort a 10. The connecting resort is a mystery it is closed to Royalton and is all natural /clothes optional and is the side that offers a sunset - not sure what else it’s off limits unless you buy a bottle of wine and make a Rez through your butler which we did not - confusing what is and what isn’t included throughout the trip. also the Royalton side offers options for families with young kids.

Since returning to The Royalton Negril, it was like everything went downhill, food, service, staff, professionalism not to mention the diamond club which was a total waste of money etc. We were very unhappy and will not be returning to this resort.

It took us some time to get settled here, but after we found our favorite places we enjoyed our stay here. The negative points: - bathtub was not properly cleaned - they spray the rooms with bedbug spray which made us concerned of toxic chemicals as we traveled with a newborn - being from NYC the pool will make you wonder if you’re at a techno party in New Jersey with drunk college kids screaming USA USA... - they have a salesperson following you around trying to persuade you to buy your next vacation. Saying kindly no without offending her (they are only paid commission) added some unnecessary stress as we simply just wanted to relax and focus on enjoying THIS vacation. - if going outside the resort, they will want to know your room nr and name before opening the gate which was a bit strange and made us feel a bit trapped... - you have to wake up at 6am to claim the best sun beds by the beach/ pool The positive: - the place is big enough so you can avoid the group of annoying people you don’t like. We really enjoyed staying at the beach away from the parties by the pool. - the staff is very friendly and welcoming. - the restaurant selections are amazing and if you’re a foodie, you’ll love the breakfast and lunch buffet. - The stake at the stake restaurant actually taste much better than in many of the stake houses in NYC. - the rooms are big and the view is great - you get what you pay for. The place is worth checking out

It was a quick In and Out for a wedding. I wish I was there longer adn it was a very nice place. Will return in the future.

This resort is AMAZING! I had no complaints or issues what so ever. I had the Diamond Club Swim Out Room. The room and the property were both absolutely breathtaking. You own personal pool is right there on your patio. You can eat breakfast outside on the patio or swim in your pool, all with a beach view. The beach was literally within footsteps of our room. There are people along the beach selling excursions and ANYTHING else that you may want ;) The staff was friendly, fun, and informative. Our butler went above and beyond and he was awesome. On my birthday, they decorated my door and had a warm bubble bath and fruit tray waiting for me. The jacuzzi tub is great. The food was awesome and so were the drinks. I think the steakhouse and the jerk chicken meal cooked by the pool were my favorites. The massage from the spa was beyond amazing. Everyone made us feel right at home, I wanted to cry when it was time to leave and they cut my wrist band off. Overall, this resort, the staff, my entire experience was absolutely perfect.

Our stay at the Royalton Negril Resort and Spa

Pros: The STAFF was exceptional always a smile on their faces. While walking anywhere if you passed by one they would ask if you need anything.
Cons: Yes, is there anyway to stop annoying guests that HAVE to place their towels on lounge chairs they NIGHT BEFORE so no one else has a chance?
Location: Negril is a great location, 10 min drive from 7 mile beach. However, the larger excursions are a bit of a drive, apps 1.5 hrs. away
Our stay at the Royalton Negril & Spa was beyond our expectations! The resort was lovely, well kept and the best part was the staff. We came with low expectations only because like many, we listened to everyones opinion about Jamaica, which in my opinion gets a bad rap. When we arrived we did wait a bit for our room, however only because we arrived at 9am. The concierge assigned to us, Virgilio was accommodating and brought us drinks while we waited. Once escorted to our room we were not happy since it faced the pool and when on the balcony the music was so loud. We expressed our displeasure with Virgilio and once he left the front desk called within 10-15 mins. They upgraded us the next day to a swim out at no charge. Every night the front desk called to see if we were happy and if we needed anything. No reservations were ever needed at any of the restaurant, well except Hibachi which we didn't want. The staff at the pool, gym, bars and the beach water sports were exceptional. Devon, Lorenzo and so many others that made our stay so great we were so upset to leave. Cant wait to return.

I arrived at the hotel and our room was not ready just yet as we arrived around 12:30 and check in is at 3pm. When we finally went to check if our room was ready, we were told our room category was not available and they would upgrade us for 1 night at which time we would have to move because they had a guest arriving the next night who had booked the upgraded room. This same scenario was also told to our friends travelling with us. The next day, there was no accommodating to make sure we get a room early enough in the day to move. Turns out no one had actually booked the room we were staying in, however they still made us move. The new room we were assigned had a musty odor. Luckily after arguing, our friends were able to stay in their upgraded room. While it seems as though getting an upgrade is nice, we were only there for 4 days, had to pack and unpack 3 times because of this and spend about 5 hours dealing with the front desk. On top of this, 2 days in a row I had to call the reception for clean towels because housekeeping did not replace any. Finally I went a got towels myself off a cart in the hallway, both days. A manager was never available when we asked to speak with them. The resort itself was nice but service was not. We were there for a wedding and they even tried to do this same room move with the bride and groom.
