Easy access and recent renovations

Pros: Comfy beds, good breakfasts
Cons: Fix your laundry facilities and repair the obvious things in your rooms that are in need of attention.
Location: Plenty of food and shopping close by
Clean rooms and really comfortable beds. Clean carpets and freshly painted. Our shower rod was barely hanging on, and the second door lock was broken but the main lock worked fine. Laundry facilities were out of order and the staff made it clear they weren't going to get repaired any time soon. Great breakfast. Overall a pleasant experience.

Do not recommend

Pros: nothing
Cons: everything. including training staff to handle problems or have a better answer than "I don't know".
Location: New Braunfels.............river is close, shopping, eating, music
Toilet was not level on floor and shook every time it was used. Complained to management twice but never got repaired. Dryer did not work. Instead of taking out broken one and replacing with one that did work, just left new dryer on counter. So next guest will have broken hair dryer. Only 8 out of approximately 30 tv channels worked. When asked why, was told "I don't know, I've only been here a week." Second person asked told me they were "changing out the boxes in some of the rooms". Would not recommend and will not be staying there again. Told checkout clerk I was not happy and would not be returning and it didn't faze her. Apparently this happens a lot.

Very close to Schlitterbahn

It was a nice hotel that had friendly and courteous staff. The rooms were descent but the only dislike is that out room had a tube TV while my sister's room which was the same size and same price had a flat screen tv.

Good room for a good price.

This was in a fairly small city in Texas so I was not expecting to have my socks blown off. And I was right to not set very high expectations. The staff was polite and helpful but not overly friendly or welcoming. To hotel was pretty nice and it was clean. 3 stars is just about right. I have paid less money for nicer hotels, just in larger markets. Further, the room I was given was directly between the ice-maker and the elevator. This ensured that my wife would not get good, restful sleep.

Good deal for a decent night's sleep

We were in NB to decide whether we were going to move there. We simply wanted a quiet and comfortable place to sleep and shower up before heading back out to look around. We got that, no more and no less. This is a basic, no-frills place to get some rest and not a destination in itself. The location was near the main attractions for most tourists. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and quiet. There was even a "feather-like" comforter which was cozy and soft. Nice touch! The wireless service had a rather low signal, depending on the router traffic, but it was handy and better than nothing. Breakfast was so-so, mainly cereal, juice/coffee, pastries and fruits. However, there was a wafflemaker which was sort of fun. I enjoyed that, while my husband liked the little oranges and apples that fit nicely in a pocket for snacking later. The indoor pool was ice-cold-- guess "indoor" isn't the same as "heated", brrr!! Being close to much better swimming facilities (in season), this is a small inconvenience for most folks but for the traveler who just wants to swim a few laps to unwind after a long drive, a heated pool would be appreciated all year round. But as I said, we just wanted a place to get a good night's sleep, and this place delivered all that and a cup of coffee-- without the frills and at a decent price. We would probably stay here again.
