Very good hotel

Pros: Stuff was nice, rooms very clean and comfortable and good food.
Cons: None
Location: The hotel is very far from the city, Travelocity must provide a correct map for that.
New, clean and great breakfast! The manager was nice and the facility was good.

Location nightmare.

Pros: Horrible location if one is planning on visiting New Orleans.
Cons: Provide two bars of soap, a television guide, fix broken equipment and improve the cell phone and internet reception.
Location: Location was a long, slow drive from New Orleans. It took us at least 40 minutes to reach the hotel after crossing the bridge heading south.
I was lead to believe that this hotel was just south of downtown New Orleans. In fact, it was a 40 minute drive away.The area was so remote that we couldn't get cell phone reception or the internet from our room. There were no restaurants nearby. We could not be picked up for a tour we had signed up for because of our location and had to drive to the swamp tour on our own, which was a distance and difficult to find. For a three day stay we were provided one bar of soap which had to be moved from tub to sink as needed. The toilet paper holder was broken and the refrigerator was missing the bars in the door for holding bottles, plus was in need of defrosting. No television guide was provided. I would absolutely NEVER stay at this hotel again!

Beautiful hotel...WAY too far from New Orleans

Pros: The hotel itself is beautiful. Very new, still smells like new paint and construction! The room was spacious and extremely clean and quiet!
Cons: Nothing about the hotel or room could possibly be improved...other than the deceptive notion that New Orleans is right around the corner!
Location: The location is in the middle of a cow pasture I think! Not a bad thing...just way out in the middle of nowhere. Nothing to do nearby!
We booked this hotel because it seemed to be close to New Orleans since that was our destination. The name of this hotel being Microtel Belle Chase/New Orleans led us to believe it was close by. Not the case! A very long drive through the countryside (45mph speed limit for most of it). No hotel shuttle into town or airport or anywhere. It was a good thing we had a rental car!

Nice Hotel - a little far out

Pros: Staff helpfulness and friendliness. Very quiet and secluded.
Cons: Cleaning service on holidays
Location: Did not find any restaurants or business close by. Had to travel several miles for these things.
This is a nice hotel. Hotel staff was excellent! There was no room cleaning service on Thanksgiving day, this was a little disappointing. Also, it was a little farther from downtown than I had anticipated. But overall, it is a GREAT hotel.
