I had to run to CVS at three in the morning to get batteries for the smoke detector. The smoke detector went off, even though I was hooked up to electricity. The battery back up was low, and the front desk did not have any and could not find any AA batteries.

We had such a beautiful and spacious room! The bathroom was also huge! The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The location is great—situated perfectly in between upper and lower Manhattan. We would definitely stay here again.

Although the condition of the room and property itself is good, we had a terrible time with the temperature in the room. It was at 80 degrees when we got in, so we turned it down but when we got back to the room a few hours later, it was still at 78. We spoke to three different people throughout our stay, each with varying reasons as to why the heat was so high and no one could help. It was honestly so miserable because we couldn’t sleep and were exhausted.

I spent a lot of time doing research at various locations to stay within the city. I am so glad that this is where we landed! The staff was warm and friendly, and accommodating with any questions that we brought forth to them during our stay. The facility itself had lots of character, and was clean and well maintained. It was within walking distance to the subway, Empire State building, Macy’s, Times Square, and all sorts of shopping, and we were surrounded by all sorts of wonderful food options! This trip was a girls trip with my mother, and two of my best friends. I am already in the process of picking dates to return with my husband and stay in the exact same location! Thank you to the staff for a wonderful stay!

The front desk staff was excellent, the location was perfect, although it is an old hotel, it is clean. The only problem I saw was that I was there in December and it was cold outside. The hotel facilities were acceptable but inside the room it was very hot, making it impossible to sleep because of the heat. I called customer services and they gave me a fan because the AC was connected to a central unit in the hotel.

My first trip to New York I stayed with this property for a week. I'm from a small town and was there on work. I was so lost nicest staff I've ever met, had to ask directions daily. I always heard people in NYC can be a little ruff, nothing could be further from the truth. Great hotel wonder staff. Have to go back next year I already booked my stay here. Thanks for putting up with me especially the receptionist 😊

Great location, nice room but the hotel central heating was too warm preventing us from sleeping the first night. Pillows were ok but. It great. But otherwise it was a nice hotel in walking distance from Moynihan station

Room with a view to the Black Hole.
The room had a rumor of a window. A small black box in the wall. Not even a view of another buildings wall. Just a black hole. However the room was clean and comfortable.
