Our king size room had no coffee maker, no fridge and no microwave as stated. Asked front desk for at least the coffee maker and they did not satisfy. Room also did not look like the pics posted. Very old. 1960's tub had no working plug. Room smelled of strong odor when we first arrived, however staff was able to refresh it. Room was clean though.

You get what you pay for. Pros: Price. Location. A short walk to Times Square, Central Park and subway, as well as Columbus Circle. Cons: Very dated. Nothing special. Terrible pillows, decor was from 1984. Mattress made my back hurt, and this day in age, you should offer free WiFi if nothing else. Window overlooked the city, but was so dirty we could hardly see out. Overall, staff was pleasant, especially girl on late shift. Very sweet. One thing though, i was woken up by employee talking loudly on the phone in the hallway. Not cool. She was arguing with someone and since the service room was near my door, her voice echoed throughout the hallway. As soon as I walked out towards the elevator she barged into the room which seemed rude. Overall, I would not stay here again. The cheap price was simply not worth the terrible night's sleep and lack of any type of luxury....not even Wifi!?

The Salisbury Hotel is an older hotel in a very good location within 1/2 a block from two subway lines. The room was large with two double beds, a night stand, two club chairs, a 6 drawer dresser, a desk with chair, refrigerator, sink, and microwave. It also has a large, walk in coat closet. What I didn't like was the location of the toilet tissue holder in relation to the toilet seat. You would have to get up off the seat to reach the tissue, so I just removed it from the holder and kept it on the water tank of the toilet. Also, the shower curtain was short so you had to be careful that it was inside the tub for showers, otherwise you would have water all over the floor. My final complaint was the elevator. I am not sure how many rooms are in the hotel, but I was lucky to be on the 17th floor as only one of the two elevators was in operation. It appears that one elevator has been out of service for some time and it did not appear that it would be repaired anytime soon. The hotel staff were very helpful to allow us to use their service elevator.
