The building was very nice early era construction. I did not like the fact lobby wss under construction, no bar, no restaurant, and the promised $20.00 a day food voucher was not available as promised.

The Westgate charged additional fees that were not disclosed when making the reservation. Had I been aware of these fees I would have booked at a different hotel.

Hotel was in a good area decently close to everything. Upon arrival I was told the picture of the room I received was not the room I’d be staying in. This was blamed on Travelocity whom I booked through. Front desk clerk Kevin was the best. Other front desk personnel were not helpful at all. Hotel bar is 4 seats total. Hotel mini store, clerk closed up two evenings before 11:30 despite the sign outside the store that says they were open until 11:30 pm. One day it took me three phone calls to get clean towels brought up to our room. We did not spend a lot of time here. The bell hop guys/ greeters are what made the hotel pleasant and front desk associate Kevin. I will not stay here again. I will look for somewhere else next time.

The staff were extremely nice and accommodating. I was a little taken back to find breakfast was over $50.00 for 2 for the buffet. Thank goodness for the $20.00 allowance per day. I would stay here again.

We came to NYC just to tour the city. The staff was friendly and helpful. The building and room was clean and perfect for our 4 night stay. Bed was very comfortable and the water pressure was fantastic. No wait for elevators. Location very close to Grand Central Station which made hopping on the subway very easy. Food and drinks available in the lobby area early and late which was perfect for meeting our group and planning for the day. Wonderful trip!
