I liked that it was supposed to be nestled in the woods just did not know that the window to my room was going to be overlooking the patio so had to keep my curtains closed since I did not want people being able to look in my room. The smoke smell from the fireplace was so strong I got a headache that I kept the whole time there. I asked for a roll away bed when I got there, they did not have one. There was not a desk in the room. The toilet in the bathroom moved every time you sat down to go to the bathroom it was so loose. Had to get up at midnight to ask the 3 ladies in the common area to stop talking since people were sleeping. 3 pillows on the bed, not sure why there was not four? Bathroom door was messed up...would not shut correctly..you had to have it closed or fully open so could not leave open a crack at night. You could tell the place is getting old and not being maintained well. I will not stay here again. For $200 a night, breakfast was not included. Not worth it. NOT WHAT I EXPECTED.

You check in at one location and stay at another location, there is no parking space to check in. They had no tv service, no place to hang clothes and no closet. No refrigerator in the room and you can not adjust the temperature. Totally stressful experience.

Thank you for taking the time to write a survey. I will address this with our maintenance department. The park does get packed sometimes making it hard to park so have other locations as well for this inconvenience. Thank you for staying with us and have a great day.

The staff was very helpful. I had to change rooms, because the cottage does not have phone service,& there was no refrigerator in the room. I was transferred to the Lodge which was rustic, but perfect! Room was a nice size, bed was very comfortable. It was great to have the microwave, Kurig & small fridge in the room. The only challenge is getting the TV going😊

The lodge was beautiful, nice rooms.

Pros: Room design
Cons: put this lodge in a new location
Location: Park was trashy
The lodge was beautiful, however the park was full of trash everywhere, and not impressive.

Beautiful location, but terrible service

Pros: Location. Bear Mountain is beautiful and the buildings on the property are beautiful as well.
Cons: Service, staffing. The place was clearly under staffed and the front desk crew did not seem to care if we were there or not.
Location: Hiking, boating, swimming...
The lodge and Inn are in a beautiful setting and seem well kept, but we had a terrible experience. On Arrival was given no information about the hotel and what was offered- just a quick here's your key and here's how to get there. Once in the room we found there was no service staff in our building at all, the phones were not working and the wifi was down. When I got through to the front desk on my cell phone (almost no service due to mountains) the staff person just said- yeah the phones are down. No offer of help or apology and again no offering of information about the amenities- which there are a lot of. I guess they want guests to hunt for food and things to do. When we arrived back at our building the main door was unlocked and a stray hiker was in the lobby even though the sign says the main door is locked at all times, phones still out and very few guests- creepy. Then at 5am the fire alarm goes off. Still no one comes to let us know anything. The alarm rang for about 10 or 15 minutes. Whew! We tried to get some more sleep only to be awoken again at 8am by the fire alarm. This time it continued for about 30 minutes. Not knowing if the fire dept. would arrive and ask us to get out or if we would burn to death we quickly packed up and went to the inn to check out. Though the staff person there was sympathetic, we still had to argue for a refund. This was a beautiful place and with better management and service could be a gem, but I wouldn't risk it again anytime soon
