I chose this hotel specifically because of the availability of a king size bed but when I entered the room I was given not only was the room not ready but the bed was NOT a king. When I went back down to the desk the girl responded “All the rooms are King beds” yet I paid extra for a king bed. When I replied that the bed was a full size she stated “It’s a UK king not an American king” When I stated that we’d stayed in 3 other UK hotels and all had real king size beds. Her reply “All our beds are king beds”

Hi Lisa, Thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback with us after your recent stay. I am sorry to see you were disappointed with the size of your bed. Our beds are all in fact UK King Size beds measuring 150cm by 200cm. The only rooms where we do not have these bed measurements are our twin rooms, in which the two twin beds can be converted into one large Superking Size bed by "zipping" them together. Next time you stay, we could assign you one of these rooms if available so you have the bigger bed. Please let us know in advance so we can prepare one of these rooms for you. I hope you enjoyed the other aspects of your stay, and enjoyed your time in Newcastle. Kindest regards, Freya
