Firstly: as VIP/GOLD members of Hotels.com, we were entitled to a room upgrade and some other additional benefits. We were told by reception that the hotel didn't accept our membership accreditation, even though I showed her the email. Made no difference. Anyway, this huge hotel is in a great location, right on the beach and near to many restaurants. It caters, almost exclusively, to Korean coach party's. There's a large ppool and gym on the 5th floor with at least two restaurants, although we never used them. The staff are courteous and helpful. Our room was a decent size but looked out over the old abandoned airfield. It could also be noisy due to the many construction sites surrounding it. This is a typical soulless bland hotel, but they're all like it in Nha Trang.

Overall the hotel is very convenient, right next to the beach. However, the beach is quite rough and the waves drag you out and hurl you in. The hotel staff could be friendlier and more organised as they accidentally left our door wide open for thieves (luckily no one stole anything). There are a lot of food stands outside with delicious meals we can have that fill our tastebuds full of flavour. The buffet was very nice as they had a wide variety of food you can have. One day you could have some delicious noodles and the next you could have something else. The rooms do look a bit old but it didn’t matter because we got a good room with a view of the beach.

Good hotel but they act like a cheap one
I’ll bullet them as best as I can: - Central location on the beach - Clean - Rich breakfast buffet but not as tasty - Staff is courteous but they follow really bizarre rules set by management - can not order a drink at the pool if you haven’t left deposit at check-in or have your card with you - like a $15 hostel, they’ll nickel and dime you to death. - 2 or 3 guests are the same price on hotels web site but the hotel charges for the third person more than it costs to get another room - unfortunately we were not able to relax and enjoy our stay as much as we could. - Oddly, our hotel in Saigon was the best one in a long while. New World Saigon

Overall the property is well maintained, very clean but very dated. The area around the hotel is great with a number of great restaurants (must try the Family Secret) and entertainment. The property is great if you are looking for nothing special. This is just a big standard hotel. The staff are amazing but if you are looking for a unique or different experience this is not it. Also - the pool is not heated and the hotel provides for a very limited number of lounging chairs by the pool and the beach. Considering the size of the property they should offer more.
