Enjoyable stay; we purchased parking with our reservation. We were told that was not purchased and had to park in a public parking deck across the street. Parking is terrible in downtown Norfolk. It is definitely a reason to consider a different location

The room looked great but when I went to take a shower the shower water was LUKE warm didn't even get close to being hot . Which was very disappointing!

The room was amazing especially for the area that it was in. I would definitely choose this hotel anytime I come back into the city to visit.

My experience here at this hotel was horrible. I have stayed at other Marriotts in other states and was treated with far more respect and was given good service than I was treated in Virginia.

Would have been nice if two of the four elevators worked. Always a hassle and wait for an elevator. Plus the bed needed upgraded. Very uncomfortable.

I stayed here as a quiet getaway on a night I had a migraine. The air freshener they use in the rooms was awful and overpowering and made my head worse. But the worst happened while I was throwing up in the toilet and the ceiling above me started pouring some sort of water right onto my head!! It flooded the bathroom and was a large growing bubble in the ceiling of water damage with water just steady pouring down. I immediately packed up all my stuff and checked out. The manager said he would refund my room, but I will have to just wait and see if that happens. It’s been two days so it might still. I will never be staying here again. I expected a great deal more from a Marriott.

Overall the room was really nice and clean! Staying in the downtown Norfolk area was really convenient and everything was within walking distance. The parking garage had a reasonable daily price. The downsides, we had to request a remote because there wasn’t one in the room, the original iron that was in the room did not work and neither did the second iron we requested. There was a hole in the top blanket on the bed and the ottoman was broken. We also thought it was strange not to have a microwave in the room.

We had to walk 18 flights of stairs because the elevator was not working. Then kids was running and yelling in the halls for several hrs. The last thing was the AC was not working in our room. Very unhappy with this hotel and I will not be back.
