Overall thing were good but when I arrived I was told the elevator was out of order. My wife is handicap so it was very difficult for her to climb steps to the third floor. Was told by front desk all lower floor rooms were taken. Would have appreciated more understanding and an attempt to locate a lower floor room.

Upon first sight of the room, we were pleased. The room was a nice size, the tv remote control was in a plastic bag (which led us to believe that every effort had been taken to sanitize the room), and the bathroom was clean. However, the HVAC unit continued to run which made the room cold. I went to the unit to adjust the louvers and discovered the top of the filter was raised. When I pulled it up, it was FILTHY. The dust and dirt had accumulated over many, many months. I actually took it out and cleaned it myself because I realize it could not have been cleaning the air in the room; hence, the Covid-19 virus could have been circulating in the room. After I cleaned that filter, I found there was a second filter in the unit. I did not clean it; I decided to leave it as it was so that I could show the front desk clerk and manager its condition. Needless to say, neither filter was in the unit overnight. It turned what could have been a pleasant experience to a very unpleasant one. I did show the filters to the manager and she profusely apologized, saying that it must have been new staff and that she would report it to the Executive Housekeeper. She also said that she randomly checked the units herself. Obviously, she had not checked the one in Room 129 for months, if ever! Of course, I have photos and would be happy to share them with you or anyone else if you so desire.

The staff was nice but the rooms were garbage. Fridge wasn’t clean. The leather office chair that sits at the little desk/table was ripped, and the arm was broken. Also the headboard was scratched. This location is definitely not like any normal Fairfield inn I’ve reserved a room with in the past. Thoroughly inspect your room before signing on the dotted line
