This standalone cottage is part of the Island Inn, a lovely property only a brisk half-mile walk from the sandy shores of Joseph Sylvia State Beach. Golfing at Farm Neck Golf Club is even closer! The town of Oak Bluffs is only a mile away, with shopping and dining along Seaview Avenue and sunbathing at Inkwell Beach. If you're up for a day trip, make the five-mile drive to Edgartown, or take the Chappy Ferry to visit peaceful Chappaquiddick Island.

Whether you're looking for a fun game of tennis or a relaxing swim in the shared pool, the Island Inn has you covered. The homey confines of the cottage offer everything you need to relax after a long day out. There's cable on the flatscreen in the living room and free WiFi throughout the home. The kitchen has everything you need to whip up something tasty (including silverware, plates, cups, cooking pans, and utensils), while shared grilling and picnic areas provide even more options for dinnertime. Gather around the firepit when the stars come out. Tennis courts, plus racquets, and ball rentals are available at the Pro Shop. Tennis is available from May 15th through October. There is also a lovely on-site restaurant that is unaffiliated with the Island Inn.

Nice Stay
The property was nicely decorated and we loved the "feel" of the cottage. Upkeep needed improvements - picture off the wall with nails left exposed, bedroom window unable to close (my husband went outside and pushed it down), decorative pillows looked a bit worn. Yet, those are all minor concerns and easily fixed. We liked the cottage and the location!

Cute Cozy Cottage
This cottage has been updated and decorated nicely in a beachy theme though the resort is older. Beds were comfortable and having two bathrooms was perfect for two couples traveling together. There was a laundry in one of the buildings which was convenient. The cottage was smaller than the pictures since a wide lense was used but overall it worked out. The fireplace in the living room appeared to not be in working for some time. There was not any coffee or any other things available like salt, pepper, napkins, etc. We used coffee pods and creamers from the office. We ate at the restaurant in front of the property and the food and atmosphere were great. However, they do not serve breakfast. We went into town to eat breakfast since we were only there 3 nights. We used Ubers to get to nearby towns which was fine. All in all it was a pleasant place to stay with a sidewalk nearby for long walks.

Wonderful spot and staff
We rented this cottage to celebrate my daughters birthday and could not have been happier! The house was spotless and the perfect size for our group of 3 adults..we could’ve had one more too! The front porch has cozy couches and chairs that overlook the property. The office staff was wonderful…friendly and extremely helpful with advice on how to get around the island and places to see! We cannot say enough about the wonderful restaurant on the property..Nomans ! The backyard games and outdoor setting was fun and the food was excellent! Both my vegan daughter, my non-vegan daughter and myself enjoyed all of our meals there (which was really the only place we ate) and the yummy desserts! They even went above and beyond when I asked if they could make something vegan for my daughter’s 21st b-day! The chef created a chocolate vegan cake with fruit shaped into flowers. The property is nicely situated to downtown oak bluffs as well as a beach. We walked to the beach each day and took a quick bus or uber into downtown when we wanted. Nice location! Our 4 day vacation was relaxing and wonderful..we will definitely be back.

Great location, beautiful property overall only complaint is we were disappointed the fireplace was not in working condition and had 2 large signs attached to the area to inform us of the fireplace out of order and the bath off the entry hall had a blockage of hair in the tub drain, we used the master bath so that wasn’t a big issue. Overall we had a good stay and enjoyed the experience. We would definitely stay again.

Idyllic cottage
Four friends on a girls' Vineyard getaway, we loved our little cottage. The perfect size with a relaxing porch for wine and conversation...or to delve into a few good books, it was a home I would happily live out my life in. Two bathrooms made it nice in the mornings, and comfy beds made it great at night. Kitchen, while compact, had a wide counter for prep and what we needed to cook. Cozy and comfortable.
