Room was clean and neat, elevator was broken. Working elevator had food trash in it.

Clean, easy access to BART, affordable

Pros: Cleanliness and accessibility.
Cons: A fridge in the room would have been nice. Air conditioner unit had to be set on 60 (lowest setting) to cool the room, perhaps it needed work???
Location: We choose this as it was within walking distance to BART and close to Oakland airport.
We opted to stay in Oakland vs. San Francisco for a wedding. The rate was certainly affordable. Rooms were clean. Staff was eager to help. Breakfast was standard continental fare. We were less than a mile from the BART station. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel provided a free airport shuttle to Oakland airport - runs on the 1/2 hour.

I never write reviews however in this case I feel I must. The inside and the room itself was outstanding. But getting there was the problem. Outside of the lobby there were people constantly "hanging out" . Day or night. From the time we checked in ...until the time we came back to our room at 11:30 pm. All three days. I didn't know if they were security.. because they were in street clothes or what. Our room was great, but I was uncertain about leaving my car in their parking lot. The lot it self has a high metal fence around it but these people "hanging" around it made it uncomfortable walking to and from your car. The other small "challenge" I have with the hotel is that they advertise as having a restaurant The Jolly Roger or something...In the three days i was there it was never open or was anybody in there.

No sense of urgency

I have to call the desk twice for the bathtub that wouldn't drain. I had to call the desk to inform them that the lights wasn't working it and I was told to see if they were plugged in. I paid for a room that have problems and was told to check to see if the other person if their job that works there. Very dissatisfied I want my money back.
