Retirement community focused on elderly residents,
Hairs on beds, the cleaning lady with dred locks may be suspect, double lock your doors after dark.

We will never stay at an Extended Stay America again! The signage was absent along with the staff it seems. It was dirty and smelly- even the elevator! The showerhead and bathroom facets were ridiculous and even the toilet paper holder was installed backwards! Continental breakfast is pre-packaged muffins. They ran out of coffee so asked for them to refill container and 10 minutes later she comes through with a laundry basket and forgot about the coffee container! I could go on...

The room was clean and comfortable, and the location next to the marina is quite nice. My disappointment was with the room I paid for not being available on arrival, the need to then argue for a price reduction to the cost of the room provided, and the unavailability of cookware for the kitchen. The price difference for the rooms was $20 per night when I booked on Travelocity and $15 - $20 per night on the Extended Stay web site. The manager had the audacity to claim it was only a $5 a night difference and I had to press the point to get a more reasonable refund. Regarding the cookware problem; they don't seem to understand their own business model if what they are selling is a kitchen but they don't bother spending a few bucks to have enough cookware, toasters and coffee makers for all of their rooms.

Great location!
Dirty, hairy rooms with sketchy looking characters wandering the halls.
Get a good deal on your room and you’ll feel much better about the condition.

Alameda weekend
Our room was clean and comfortable. The free parking, Wifi, and light breakfast can't be beat in the city. The hotel lobby is bare-bones, but I didn't care about that. I will definitely stay here again.

Dig hair infested towels
This hotel stay was awful. Not only are the rooms completely stripped of anything you may need including trash cans but the phones don't work to call down to the office to get even a cup. The maids obviously don't change out all including unused towels from previous guests. I took a shower and when I grabbed a towel off the rack to dry off I was covered in dog hair! It was disgusting! And once again I couldn't call down to the office to complain. I rinsed off and went down stairs pretty much sopping wet and the woman just asked if I wanted fresh towels. And that's all she would do for me. I called Travelocity and all they would do is get me a new room at the same place. And I'm allergic to animal fur. I will never stay there again.

Location:Sits right on the marina
Room is bare bones! The overall location is real sketchy.
The front desk staff was WONDERFUL!

Oakland A
We went for the Oakland A game and Pasta Pelican restaurant that's close by. The restaurant is within walking distance from the hotel. The hotel is right on the water. The game is about ten minutes from hotel. Loved it.
