Check-in is at 4pm, we arrived at 2pm, room was ready but we were told it would cost us $20 ($10 per hr) to check-in early. We have stayed here for years (but wont again) and this was the first time we were told that. The room was not that clean, we cleaned the TV remote with Clorox wipes, it took 3 and they were black afterward (I have pics) the front of the dresser had something splashed on it, who knows what.

We enjoyed the stay at the Monte Carlo the staff was friendly. We stayed 2 nights. The only thing I have to say negative is we asked for more towel in the morning one our second day and it took until 7 pm that night to get them.

The air-conditioners barely cool the room. The hallways were full of dirty laundry carts and had a odor. It is close to the boardwalk and the staff is friendly I will give it that

Misleading

My husband and I were therefor vacation. Upon arrival we had to wait because our room wasn't ready. There was no towels, toilet paper, room keys didn't work. The room didn't have an iron, when we requested one the water ran straight through. the "rooftop bar and lounge" was out of order. The bartender said there was no food because the fryer was broke. She could only offer us beer. The "breakfast" is in the lobby when you walk in. Doesn't consist of much but packaged muffins, frozen orange juice, coffee and tea. Not a great experience at all!

Just ok

I stayed for one night but at the same time i was looking to see about booking a place for next summer. My check in was just fine it was a little upsetting that i had to Park across the street after driving 13 hours from Atlanta but for one night it was fine. The room had had a water leak from the roof, there where visible water marks all over the ceiling and wall. The tile in the bath room was dirty and had had mold in the grout. For one night I can live with that. It was the check out the next day Check out time was at 11:00 at 11:10 the Front desk very rudely called the room and told me to leave the room that we where 10 Min past check out. I would expect this in Mid July August But not in October in the middle of week. Needless to say I will NOT be booking this place in the summer and will not be staying with them again. I would avoid this hotel you have many other options to choose from. .

Dont waste your money too expensive

only ONE elevator and lobby smelled like subway - not worth the money I paid. We, my mom 3 kids and i, started in room 510. AC didnt work right, no water pressure in shower, door scraped floor, fridge didnt work right, no alarm clock and phone wire was ripped out. So I used my cell to call front desk. The woman who answered wasnt even apologetic and said ok ill see if i can send someone up. The "engineer" came up with thermometer and stuck it in unit to test temp and that's it. I had to suggest it was dirty even though it was obviously dirty with dust. He pulls out filters and goes let me go clean them. Still didnt circulate air so they brought up a box fan. Front desk said they couldnt give us a new room.Then to top it all off 4am fire alarm. Of course my kids never went back to sleep. My mother cant walk well and we were forced to walk up 5 flights bc the guy wasnt there to turn elevator back on. The fire alarm went off 3 more times that day, each time shutting down elevator for hours. I insisted on being moved to 2nd floor (no 1st floor rooms). So they moved us to room 211. Room 211 sliding door to balcony fell off track and fridge defrosted itself and wasnt cold enough. So i asked to speak to the general manager on Monday when he was there Tom Quinn. I was told he wasnt available and would call me back. He NEVER CALLED ME BACK. Only good thing is location. Never will stay again! Roof deck pool had no towels and beer can in hot tub. No real bfast either.

Pluses and minuses

There were some really good aspects of this hotel: its proximity to the beach, the attached Subway, the friendly staff and the grab & go breakfast. But there are also some downsides: the "lobby" bathroom is on the 5th floor, the water pressure in the shower is weak, and the parking lot is across the street. So, while I would possibly go back, I'd have reservations.

Worst hotel in my life!

Dirty hotel, I don't recommend this hotel. For the price I thought it was good but when we got there no parking space, the toilet had a bad odor, carpet was wet due to AC unit, and pool was dirty also.
