The lady at the front desk really did not know what she was doing as I had booked on hotels.com but yet she wanted to charge me for the hotel room plus a damage deposit. She even called me down for my room to come and do that even though I had already paid for it

Great stay
Full cooked breakfast options were great. Mattress was super comfy. 2 queen beds in room was really appreciated. (Many other hotels have one queen bed and a sofa bed. Sofa beds suck big time). Great stay.

We liked the room with comfy beds, the breakfast had many options and were tasty, and having an indoor hot tub and pool available in the winter was wonderful. However, there were s few things that didnt go well. I had reserved 2 rooms through expedia.ca but the front desk clerk could only find one room, even after i showed her my confirmation for 2 rooms. Thankfully a second room was available but the ckerk would not give it to me at the same price as what i had booked online, we had to pay more. Then she mistakenly tried to have me pay a second time after i already gave her my visa card , had paid and gotten my receipt. She seemed unknowledgable in her job. It took 20 minutes to check in. The room we were in was on the 3rd floor. In the early evening we started to smell a burnt odor. When we went into the hallway there was light smoke everywhere. We informed the front desk, she let us know that the 3rd floor had kitchenettes in them . We figured someone burned their dinner. The clerk did go and ask the people in that room to open the windows so the smoke would dissipate but it was unpleaant to smell smoke in a hotel room. We were also disappointed that there was no Netflix.

Very dirty. First room had a terrible odour was given a new room which was better. However, the hotel seemed as though it was either lacking cleaning staff or its current cleaning staff are under trained. The complimentary breakfast area was gross. The juice dispenser buttons were disgustingly sticky. There were sausages laying on the floor, the counters were also sticky and dirty. The hotel has potential to be very nice but it’s very poorly cleaned.

This is just a personal preference, but I found the bed and pillows too soft. It would have been nice to have an additional chair in the room to watch tv instead of sitting on the bed...also a personal preference. Unfortunately I think the room with 2 queen beds did not have room for an additional chair.
