LIKE COMING HOME!

Pros: THE SINCERE WELCOME BY ALL THE STAFF.
Cons: THE RECEPTION OF COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT LEFT SOMETHING TO BE DESIRED. THE RECEPTION BY STAFF MADE THE TRIP WORTH THE DRIVE!
Location: VERY CLOSE TO STATE PARK AND ACROSS THE RIVER WAS THE GREAT ZOO! MANY FAST FOOD OUTLETS.
WELCOMED LIKE RELATIVES! VERY NICE STAFF. GREAT PRIVACY AND QUIET HALLS. SOME DIFFICULTY WITH WI-FICSTABILITY BUT OVERCAME THAT BY GOING TO NEXT FLOOR UP!

Thank you for your review of The Ramada Hotel and Event Center. We always welcome feedback from our guest. The Ramada does have an excellent location being right off of Hwy 41, which is a major north-south United State Highway that runs from Miami, Florida to Michigan. Hwy 41 offers so many opportunities for our guests. As you mentioned we are not far from the zoo with is located in Evansville, IN, and if you don’t want to cross the bridge, less than a mile from the Ramada Hotel is the John James Audubon State Park. The Ramada is within walking distance of shopping centers, convenient stores, and many restaurants. We are thrilled to now have The Bistro open inside of the Ramada, so our guests do not even have to leave the comfort of the hotel for dinner or maybe a drink to finish the night. The Bistro has brought many new features to the hotel, by coordinating with the event staff when planning weddings, birthday parties or business meetings they now have a catering service right here. I must agree with you that we have outstanding staff that welcomes everyone to The Ramada just like they are family. We all work together to make sure our guest have not just a satisfied stay but an exceptional stay with plans to return in the future. ACCESSIBLE ROOM?????

Pros: nothing
Cons: ADD ACCESSIBLE ROOMS
Location: It was kind of scary
This was supposed to be a wheelchair accesssible room - to say the least - it was not - I do not know how they can say they have accessible rooms when they do not meet the ADA requirements - I DID NOT STAY HERE.

Disappointing to say the least.

Pros: The only thing I can say nice about it was that the water pressure was good.
Cons: Almost everything listed above!
Location: Location was good and there were everal fast food places nearby. Glad of that because the restaurant at the hotel was closed for repairs.
We pulled in but could not drive up to register for all the motorcycles parked and visiting outside the lobby. We got our key and parked outside the back entry. We were greeted by a man in a wheelchair who was concerned because the door had been taped open so that the door would not lock. He said he had cut the tape once before but it was back again. We got to our room, called the front desk and informed them. She didn't seem worried and suggested that maintenance put it on. No security here! As for the room, it was certainly not as the post showed. The sink was right at the door, the bathroom wall had a big hole in it where tge door knob went through it, the floor was not swept and had toilet paper, hair and dirt on it. The phone blinked all night but there were no messages, there was no do not disturb sign to hang, the walls were dirty, the bed just had sheets laying accross them and were not tucked. The hair dryer did not work, the electricity was so poor, my own hair dryer would barely work, no vent in the bathroom area so it fogged up the wall after a shower and the door was messed up and would not open all the way.Upon entering the bathroom, my husband flushed the toilet saying someone either had not flushed it or the water was extremely yellow. We went to use the guestbook to see what was in the area but it was covered with dried food. The breakfast area consisted of 4 tables and the food was very little.

I will not stay at this hotel again

Hotel staff is cold not friendly, There was terrible smell in the hallway all the time we were there, they treat you like you are going to certainly take something from hotel. fell uncomfortable

Hello, I am very sorry to read your review. I generally receive quite high praise about the staff. Your comments regarding the staff and your check in process are very concerning. We hope for the best with all our guests, unfortunately there are those few that cause problems for the rest, and has resulted in the need to have guests sign and initial our registration card and a few disclaimers about pets, smoking areas, etc. Please accept my apology if this wasn't explained well, or if it made you feel uncomfortable. It was not our intention. We have just completed a major renovation of all our hallways, this included removal of old wall paper, application of sealant, paint, etc. There were some moments when these activities created an observable odor, however, I am sure you will agree, the new halls are very beautiful. Please accept my apology if this work negatively impacted you during your stay. I encourage you to try us again, and see our new halls. Also, I believe that you will feel comfortable and welcomed.
