Stay Somewhere Else

I recently stayed there at the end of a Globus tour. Since I was with a tour, I had no choice but to stay at this hotel. However, if you have a choice, I would not recommend staying there. The room was good size, but there was visible mold all around the air conditioning vent, all the way up the wall to the ceiling. The mattress was very "lumpy". The room would have been tolerable, I guess, for a short stay, but the staff was extremely unhelpful. They gave me a user Id and password for the lobby internet, but after 30 minutes of trying to log on unsuccessfully, I asked a passing staff member, who informed me the internet was didn't work. (It didn't work for 4 days). We also asked at reception for brochures for excursions from the hotel and were told there were none. We later saw some brochures away from the desk, but they were in Italian, so asked about them and were given no help. We asked for a map of the area around the hotel and the staff had one original that they did not want to copy for us. I could go on, but the previous are just a few examples of our problems. I realize I did not speak the language, but NH hotels are an international chain and it would seem they would have better staff training/expectations for those in the hospitality business.
