Host accepted my booking and then text me on my personal cell dates I booked for was unavailable…..kept my money and will not respond to refund requests ….scammers be aware!!!! Never stayed here

Disappointed & ridiculous
First off we arrived & unit not ready at check-in. Asked to wait 30 more minutes only to be moved to another unit. Once allowed in unit, it smelled of stall cigarettes. No coffee cups & bugs everywhere. The bedding was covered with new sheets but mattress was dirty. It was a staged with newly purchased items. We should of left but it was getting late & dark in a very unfamiliar area. I did get 2 nights refunded after a run around from the host.

Very unsafe neighborhood
About 10:00 pm the first night, I got a knock on the door and two Policemen in SWAT clothes recommended we leave the rental property as it was unsafe to stay. They told us that two nights prior a drug dealer kicked in the door trying to rob the unsuspecting renter. Another similar incident occurred about a week prior to that. So we packed up and left. There were four police cars and 8 officers in the parking lot. It was a very scary experience. Actually the inside of the apartment was nicely furnished and clean. The officer said that was a way to lure folks in to take advantage of them.
