2nd visit here, loved it so much we had to come back.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Great place to stay, very quiet, clean, the staff is great and the rooms are great. This was my 2nd visit and because of that I got upgraded to a larger room. Then again, on my first visit I was upgraded automatically because there were rooms available. I highly recommend The Alcazar, everyone in the pool area commented on how much they were enjoying there stay.

Visited a few weeks ago, had an early check in and enjoyed the quiet pool area. The staff were very accommodating. The rooms were a good size. I am definitely visiting again.

Cute, small property walk to town

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Cons: Poor breakfast
White, very very white. The floors, walls, bed, linens, desk....all white. Very stark, but clean room. Don't plan to sleep in, no way to close out sunlight. Nice pool area. Walk to tons of restaurants and shops.

Peaceful and serene

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
This is a very quiet and beautiful hotel. It is right downtown, but due to the hotel layout of rooms surrounding an inner courtyard and pool, you would never know there was a busy street and shopping just right over the walls! The large rooms were very clean, newly decorated in bright white on white, with plantation shutters, huge walk in shower, and even had a fireplace for cool nights. The pool courtyard is very beautiful with flowering gardens looking out to Mt San Jacinto and a sparkling clean pool. Manager was very warm friendly and helpful walking the grounds regularly to check on the comfort of the guests. Walk right out the stained glass and copper gates to tons of dining options and shopping. I would go back in a minute!

Perfect Serene Boutique Hotel

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Nestled just next door to "downtown" Palm Springs, this was the perfect overnight stay before leaving the Palm Springs area after a weeks stay at another hotel. The room was simple but well appointed with a southwest feel which was very appropriate for the desert surroundings of Palm Springs. As we left, we commented that the next time we are in this area, we will definitely consider stay here again!

Clean older place, but can be noisy

Pros: Close restaurants
Cons: Noisy
Staff was friendly, and the place was very clean, with a comfortable bed. Walls on are the thin side, but once you turn on the a/c it pretty much drowns out the noise.

Adequate & Enjoyable

Owner was a but nosy, but pleasant. Room was very clean and had tons of pillows on the comfy bed. Loved the Mission-inspired furniture. King Deluxe room had flat-screen TV and fridge, but no DVD/Cable box and no coffee maker. We had the layout with the Jacuzzi tub which was nice. Shower was separate and small, but clean. Toiletries were not "fancy" but were "green" which was nice. Rooms were a bit noisy though; could easily hear the TVs from the other rooms. It was nice for the night we stayed, and convenient to town, but we would probably pick something a little fancier next time.

Excellent

The room was very bright and quite nice. The only problem happened at 2:00 am when three people decided to use the spa which was right outside of our room. They were extremely loud and woke us up. The hotel was very nice about it and gave us a suite two nights later at a discounted rate.
