Nice property but a little old Fixtures probably need to be replaced. But everything was nice and neat and breakfast was great

After I booked my room, my husband had surgery and could not walk on his foot. So I called the hotel and requested a 1st floor room. The front desk was happy to pre-assign me to room 104. Check in is after 3pm, which is pretty standard, however, it's also well known that checking in a bit early is not unusual. I got to the front desk about 2:25, and "Aaron" point blank told me that check in is after 3. I noticed that the lobby was filling up with other guests waiting for 3pm. I mentioned that I already knew my room, and asked if it was ready. "Nope. Check in is after 3pm". So I went and sat in the parking lot with my husband, who I'd already gotten into a wheelchair. At 3pm, a line formed to check in. I waited in line, and when I finally got to the desk, a young man asked for my reservation name. I told him "Reed". Just then a lady named Lauren walked in, and he said "Well, time to go... " and extended his hand for me to shake. I clumsily shook his hand thinking he was joking. "Nice talking to you" and he left! Once Lauren got settled, she helped me, and really saved the situation. I told her just a little of my story, within earshot of Aaron, whom never looked at me again. The next morning, I saw Lauren again and complimented her on how professional she was, and also told her the whole story about how rude and dismissive Aaron was, as well as the guy who shook my hand and left. She apologized. I will return to this hotel, but am NOT happy with Aaron.

Yes, check-in is normally at 3 however, we always check people in early especially if their flight just landed, drove from out of town, medical disabilities, etc. So you should have been checked-in early no question.
