I always like to be in the jungle in the old canal zone properties because there is so much wildlife on the edge of the big city!!!

The room was small but clean. The bathroom smelled a bit like mildew. The breakfast was toast, scrambled eggs, fruit and juice and corn flakes and milk. The staff was always very helpful.

nice little inn off the main road

We found this inn by the "hotel" sign on the road to the canal locks. It was a very nice setting with clean rooms. The bathroom was newly done with beautiful ceramic tile and a large shower. There is a small restaurant a few steps from the rooms, but they were out of our choices for dinner which all included chicken, so we drove down the road to a Subway. The hotels buffet (included) was very nice. There were plenty of choices to please all of us. There were some native animals on the grounds and a small pool and spa. The lady at the desk spoke English well, unlike the waiter in the restaurant, and she was very helpful to us as we were needing directions for the next day. (Panama has NO signs for tourist attractions!) There were several computers for guest use near the lobby.
