In the city center, Hôtel de La Herse d'Or is in Paris's Paris City Centre neighborhood, a walkable area with good shopping. Place des Vosges and Notre-Dame are notable landmarks, and travelers looking to shop may want to visit Rue de Rivoli and Les Halles. Looking to enjoy an event or a game? See what's going on at AccorHotels Arena or Stade de France. Our guests appreciate the hotel's location for the sightseeing. Location very convenient... Typically small room/bathroom-shower
I’d have rated this hotel only 2 stars, if not for the staff. There is no air conditioning, just a floor fan. It has 3 speeds—low, a little higher, and almost medium. My room got afternoon sun, so it gets warm in the afternoon even though it’s not that warm outside. That would be a bonus in the winter, as I did not see any means of heating the room, but not so good otherwise. I got a better breakfast for less money across the street at Le Rempart. I also went to Breakfast in America several times, which is a short walk away. I highly recommend it. I’m fine leaving the key at the front desk. I would expect for the front desk person to verify who I was, though, if they didn’t know me. This only happened once. I am an average-sized woman, and the shower was uncomfortably small. To get into it, you have to sidestep around the toilet. The bed was barely adequate for me. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and helpful. With a little notice you have a better chance of getting help getting your bag down the stairs. It’s a small staff, so don’t expect them to drop everything to help you immediately. I asked for help before going to breakfast, and when I returned my bag was downstairs. The location is great. You can get anywhere from here and there are many restaurants close by.
This hotel is not in a good location as its a bit sketchy area. This hotel has no elevators and stairs are so small that if you are on the top floor. It will be an effort to get your luggage up. Bathrooms do not consists of any hygiene materials (soap, shampoo, conditioner) etc Rooms were extremely tight !! We had the biggest and still didnt help. Rooms airconditioning also didnt function as it was extreme for both warm and cold. No way to keep a moderate temperature. The price was also expensive compare to other hotels, which were in a better location. This place is for one person on a business trip (Maybe) but definitely not couples/family.
