I enjoyed the suites layout, and loved our balconies. However, we didn’t realize there was a heater in the closet, and we were cold for the first night.

Check in was good, girls were very friendly and helpful... hotel is very old. AC was not working good, room was like a sauna, when we came back from dinner, there was no power, there was a guy trying to fix the problem, after an hour of sitting in the dark i went to the lobby to find out about the power, the male working at the front was very mean and careless, he offered me another room with no AC and no help carrying our bags or helping move (talking midnight) he also said, you can go to another hotel. Seriously at midnight 😡 ...hotel looks nice on the website, its not at all ...

Nice hotel, conveniently located.

Pros: The location was perfect! The optional buffet breakfast was very good and was a nice way to start each day. The staff was welcoming and helpful.
Cons: While clean and comfortable, some painting and updating would make it even nicer.
Location: The Louvre, l'Opera, le Musee d'Orsay, Notre Dame, la Rue de Rivoli, abundant shopping, restaurants and metro lines are all within walking distance
We had a very good experience staying at this hotel. We were in Paris for four days and were easily able to get to the major monuments and tourist sites from this centrally located hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quite spacious. It is an older hotel, which adds to the charm. I would definitely stay here again.

Run down room

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Location: Walking distance to the Louvre
Picture of room looked very nice on the website, but what we got was completely run down. Missing door knobs of the closet which can't close. Floor sqeak with very old and run down carpet. Chair had stain and very very worn out. Wall paper were pealing off. Holes in the wall. Everything was bad for the price we paid was not worth it. We met another tourist from Australia who also was staying at the same hotel and her daughter did not like it and return to the previous hotel they stay in. I don't blame her. We were simply shocked when we saw our room. We had to check the mattress for bed bugs. That's how run down the room looked. Hotel felt more like a 2 star hotel a very cheap like motel. I'm being very generous with the hotel rating.

Very well located

Pros: It's location was very good.
Cons: There is no excuse for the bathrooms smelling bad
The bathroom very small and smelled bad, like a public restroom. They did a thorough job of cleaning every day, but it made no difference. The beds are extremely hard as they are in much of europe.

I loved the old world feel of the building!

Pros: The location and the decor were perfect~
Cons: The bed was a little on the firm side.
Location: right across the street from the Louvre. Couldn't be more centrally located.
The building and the furnishings were beautiful and well placed. I could imagine much of it being of the era of the building. The location is perfect! We walked to everthing!

4 Star Location 1 Star Accomodations

I have been to Paris 10 times. While this was not the WORST hotel Ive stayed at...it comes in 2nd. The only thing that saves it from the quotworstquot moniker is the location. It is close to everything a first time visitor to Paris would want to see and the Metro. If you can sleep in any scenario and hygenie is not of concern then one could survive this hotel for a week. The rooms are poor. Severely lacking...and I dont know how they get away with posting the pictures of the rooms they have on the website. I believe those rooms are there but they are not the rooms you will get booking through travel agency If they put pictures of the rooms they give to travel agency patrons lol theyd never get any business. This was the case in ours...and...lol...a crumpled up cigarette packet blew off the top of the armoire when the windows were opened...in our quotnon-smokingquot room. We had two twin beds. Both felt as though we were sleeping on rope trusses covered with hay and ticking. The bathroom was a few rungs above an outhouse. Again survivable and a good location for a budget hotel but if youre looking for nice you best look somewhere else unless you fork out the money for the rooms actually shown on their site.

The worst ever

I've been traveling for a few years, have seen the good and the bad. I picked that hotel because of it's 4 stars rating but it is nothing close to a 1 star. The rooms are so old the carpet, bed, furnitures are so damaged, the bathrooms are so beat up and rotten, this hotel is so dirty and old disgusting place to stay while in Paris. Definetely not the place to stay while traveling with your wife on a nice trip to Paris. Beware images are very misleading, and this place needs serious renovation and cleaning. Don't even bother getting an internet connection or watch the news on TV in the morning, neither work and the bedroom door closes with a big gap. I wish I could post images.
