The property is absolutely gorgeous. It is an old house so be Prepared for that experience but the restoration and furnishings are amazing. The owners were very nice and breakfast was quite delicious. Free parking and Located right on a trolley line is a plus.

It was the perfect location... Right on the trolley line to downtown. And it was right around the corner from on of my favorite food spots (Koch's) in Philly. Walking distance from a beautiful park.

perfect!

Pros: comfortable, welcoming, great breakfast, beautiful period appointments. Would happily return.
Location: west Philly, interesting one of a kind eateries, craft beer joints. trolley to center city stops right out front

Beautiful Bed and Breakfast!

Pros: Its turn-of-the-century beauty and the friendliness and thoroughness of the owners.
Cons: It was great!
Location: We visited the Barnes and Philadelphia Museums, the Liberty Bell and all of the historical sites.
What a beautiful time we had at The Gables! I highly recommend this B&B. The house itself is historical and is beautifully and charmingly decorated in its true early 20th century style. Our room was wonderful: sunny, quiet and the bed was very comfortable. We had a sink in our room and then shared a bathroom down the hall with another room. That was not a problem at all. Towels, soaps, shampoo and even bathrobes were provided. Our hosts, Cesar and Ricky were so helpful, kind, thoughtful and friendly. The breakfasts were fabulous. Excellent creative food, expertly prepared including a cold table of fruit, cereals, juices and a different coffee cake each day, and then a hot meal was prepared as well: waffles, eggs, bacon on the first day and eggs benedict on the second. It was also very easy getting to downtown Philadelphia from The Gables on the trolley that ran directly down Chester Street in front of the in.. We will definitely be back!
