We selected Home2Suites for its convenience to the Cactus Yards (for baseball games) and the good reviews. It WAS convenient to the yards and downtown Gilbert which has some yummy and fun restaurants - really great vibes. However, I don't understand the good reviews. We certainly won't stay here again. First of all, the pillows were uncomfortable at best. They were quite flimsy and seemed filled w/puffs of foam. My bed was fairly comfortable, but another person in our group, who stayed in a different room, complained that the bed was uncomfortable for her. The first room we checked into looked like the bed had been slept in. The front desk said it was probably the new housekeeper because the pillows weren't fluffed properly. Regardless, they apologized and gave us another room. That bed did look properly made. I was constantly grossed out when entering and exiting our room because the hallway carpeting was filthy. The inside of the room did seem clean, but the hallway made me wonder just how clean it really was.

Front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating (recommendations on places to eat, getting us extra pillows, holding our luggage pre-check in). The area is very close to a lot of amenities. We also enjoyed the extra touches like being able to watch the sunset by the beautiful outside fire pit and free breakfast.

It would have helped to know that we needed to turn on the master switch inside the door to activate the other light switches. We had to ask at the front desk to figure out how to turn on the kitchen lights. Other than that we were delighted with the room.
