Nice Resort but Room For Improvement

The staff at the Centara Grand we're all amazing which led to a very enjoyable trip. The resort itself was nice but has room for improvement, mostly minor issues. For instance, the beautiful walk in shower in our Spa Deluxe room had a drainage problem, which flooded the bathroom floor daily. Additionally the elevators are very musty, and scared me that the room would be the same. Fortunately it was not. On a whole, we had a great time. The pool facilities are top notch, especially since enjoyed the 10 foot plunge area, and food and beverage was all very good. THE hotel has a beautiful location except be mindful that the central shopping and dining area for Karin Beach is quite a walk. Overall I wouldn't quite say it lives up to 5 stars but was still quite pleasant.

Comfortable but needs a bit of TLC

Pros: Needless to say, the location. This hotel has its own clean beach. Compared to the public beaches, this one tops it all off.
Cons: The hotel needs a lot of TLC. Definitely does needs to be on top of its maintenance since its still considered new.
Location: You'll just have to look at the map and figure out whats around but everything is about less than an hour away with the airport about the same.
We booked this hotel because of three things: Location, Location and Location. It is centrally located and conveniently situated in the middle of everything. Not to mention the well-kept private beach within footsteps of your hotel room door. We loved the fact that the staff were very accommodating with everything that we need and want.
