It is a pretty modern, contemporary hotel. It is a bit unusual that the lobby is on the top floor, but it isn't a problem. Clean rooms, great staff, good location, safe area of town. I would stay there again.

I was totallly surprised by the decor, comfort, and cleanliness of of this property! I like the modern look of the Scandinavian decor! The king size bed was very comfortable!! The pillows, I believed to be high quality feathered down material was full and supportive which added to the comfort of the bed! The bathroom was very clean and the decor/design made it enjoyable to hang out in. Something one would normally not say about a hotel bathroom!!! I was impressed with the frosted sliding glass door to the bathroom and the over-head shower and the consistency of water pressure and temperature!!! Now, last but not least, the customer service, was superb!!! From the valets to the front desk personnel to the bartenders/food service people to wonderful room servicing personnel...All very professional and genuinely courteous and friendly!! I wished I could remember names to give everyone separate kudos but I can’t! I would recommend AC HOTEL DWNTWN PITTSBURGH by MARRIOT to anyone visiting Pittsburgh, PA If you’re attending an event at the CONVENTION CENTER or want to be DWNTWN and within walking distance to the PITTSBURGH PIRATES BASEBALL STADIUM.

After driving 5 hours to Pittsburg, I get to the hotel and our room size isn’t available. I was offered pillows and a comforter so someone can sleep on the floor. Sam was the receptionist and he offered $30 off my stay, then $50, then $100. I asked to speak to the manager and he said she would be in the following morning. We I finally spoke to Kristen she lacked professionalism after I waiting for almost 15 minutes for her to come over from cleaning tables in the breakfast area. When she got to the receptionist desk, I overheard Jessie speak to her about my concern. She still riding address me and worked with another guest to try to resolve his concern. When I spoke up and asked was I going to be assisted, Kristen acted like she didn’t know I was waiting for her. After expressing my concern, Kristen informed me that rooms aren’t guaranteed despite me booking the room size that was needed for my family. I shared with her that I’m paying over $600 to have someone sleep on the floor. No accommodations were offered to help my situations. When I brought up the discount Sam mentioned the previous night, Kristen said there wasn’t a discount available for my inconvenience. She offered me coffee and when I challenged the policy she was trying to quote she offered me the availability to cancel my room instead of trying to fixed their mistake. I also got the excuse of a computer error that reflected the room size I reserved, but it wasn’t actually the case. Horrible experience here!!
