Overall, it was OK. The room was dated and could have used some sprucing up. But it provided what I needed. It was near Pitt, had free parking, and a reasonable price. Plenty of hot water. The shower drained slowly, so I was ankle deep in water. It was acceptably clean. We really just slept there for only 1 night so I didn't probe too far. I thought that breakfast was included as that was stated in the search results, but when I double checked my confirmation it was not included. I will probably stay there again the next time I have a short stay.

FAIL

Pros: LOCATION
WHEN IASKED FOR A RECEIPT FOR MY STAY WHICH I NEED FOR TAX PURPOSES, I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD EMAIL IT TO ME. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for your review. Many times, the hotel cannot provide guests with a receipt when you book through a third-party (such as Expedia or Travelocity). The receipt should be in your email and contain the total amount of your stay. If you have any questions, I'd suggest directly contacting the agency with whom you booked. 2.5 stars does not do it justice!!

We stayed there on New Year’s Eve and it was way above my expectations. From the moment we walked in the door, the receptionist was so friendly and made it very simple to check in! The room was very clean and the bed was so comfy!! I highly recommend the Quality Inn. Panera in the building is definitely a huge plus!

Pros: Comfortable bed and basic amenities.
Cons: Cleanliness
Location: Was not so close to Universities, as I had imagined.
It was expensive, even for the deal I got through Travelocity, for what we got. It was disappointing that breakfast wasn't included.

Great price in good location

Pros: Location and great value for money.
Cons: Hotel decor is dated but is in good condition and at this price point hard to ask for more.
Location: Location is definitetly a plus. Literally down the street from UPMC Magee Womens Hospital and then several block from man hospital and U Pitt campus.
Hotel is older but clean and well-maintained, staff were very helpful and moved me immediately to a new room when the original room had a malfunction. Located short 5 minute walk to UPMC hospitals Univ. Pitt. campus. Paneras restaurant on site and tons of eating places on Forbes Avenue by U. Pitt. Free parking. Compared to other nearby hotels a very good bargain.

A fine hotel. Met our every need

Pros: Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly. Shuttle service is convenient.
Cons: Stale smell on the floors in the hallway.
Location: Very convenient to U Pitt (our destination).
This quality inn was everything that we needed. The staff is friendly, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. There was something of a stale smell in the hallway, but it was not in the rooms. The hotel is reasonably priced on non-demand weekends but pricier when colleges are moving in and out. However we very much enjoyed our stay.

Nice Room

Pros: Convenient location to everything
Cons: Conditions of furniture, just updating I guess
Location: There is a CVS close that we went to and there is a Panera bread in the hotel which was convenient and good.
We stayed here for a wedding and it was a nice room. The headboard on one of the beds was loose and coming off but I figured it wasn't a big deal. The hotel offers shuttle service which was a big plus. The staff were very pleasant and helped us with questions. My husband and son love coffee and they always had some so they were happy. Overall a very pleasant experience.

If you just need a place to sleep...

The staff here was very nice. The room was very clean. This is a good place to stay if you just need a place to sleep but not to be pampered or have the extras. My room had rattling, squeaky pipes but not loud enough to really bother me too much. Guest were loud in the hallways and let their doors slam. Easy to get to the Consol Center from here.

Perfect spot if u don't have personal car..

Hotel was perfect since I had to use mass transit system.. Plenty of multiple routes to take me into downtown. Only thing, wish hotel had free breakfast. Panera Bread has no good selection of breakfast

An OK hotel, a bit more $ than I would expect.

Pros: Staff
Cons: Again, it seemed a bit pricey, but that may just be Pittsburgh?
Location: Got a good recommendation to a local Tex-Mex restaurant/bar within walking distance, which I was grateful for!
Hotel Staff was very helpful and friendly, especially Jesus, the maintenance man who helped me with my car when it wouldn't start when I was wanting to depart! Thanks also to Marge, the shuttle driver who was very accommodating when I needed a ride downtown one evening. An excellent bunch of people working at this hotel, in my experience! Hotel itself was nothing to write home about, but no major complaints. I was unhappy with the mix-up on the Travelocity website, which had me paying twice, for two rooms instead of one. After some repeated phone calling the problem seems to be corrected and my $ should be refunded, so despite the hassle and worry about getting stuck paying twice what I had signed up for, all seems to be right in the end. :)
