This is definitely not a 5 star resort. More like 3. And it is sort of all inclusive. Coffee and ice cream cost extra to start. The rooms are bad. Our first room had a major leak in the ceiling. Second room no hot water. 3rd room again no hot water. Seems they have known plumbing issues but the do not care. They do not have free seats at the beach or pool. $150 extra per day. Or sit in the sand. The food overall was tasty. The nature walk has some unsafe broken boards so watch where you step. Its an old average resort overall. The staff was friendly. But 5 days with either a flooded room or a cold shower sucks. The rooms are kind of clean. The spa is very expensive but it was good

My husband and I just returned last night and we really liked the resort. Of course just like anywhere else you go a few repairs need to be made and they currently are doing some. Which in reality it isn’t a bother. Everyone at the resort was very nice, the food and drinks were also good. There are a few people in particular that I would love to mention and it’s Ramiro who is the manager at the main pool, Antonio who works in the main pool and Jorge who helped us with our excursions and scheduling our dinners. They literally went out of their ways to make our stay awesome. One thing for sure to do while staying at The Fives is to book the La Casa de Rosa cooking experience. Both young ladies Erendira and Fatima make the experience educational and fun. It’s definitely a must. Thanks
