A front desk staff his name is Eric gave us a downgrade room. I booked for queen bed with refrigerator and microwave but he gave us 2 twin bed no refrigerator no microwave with broken window blinds and no shampoo and conditioner. Complain was made and eventually give the correct room. But then, this time the room has broken window, you can't close it, very old room. I know this is only 2.5 star rated motel but it's more of a 1.5 star. Will not recommend this place to anyone. Waste of hard earned money.

Mr. Claveria, You did book a queen room with a microwave and fridge and instead were upgraded to a room twice the size with two beds, a queen and double, and an ocean view. We do not have rooms with twin beds. Actually, we do, two rooms have pull-out love seats (10 and 27). Additionally, ALL of our rooms have a microwave and fridge. In fact, the room you were upgraded to has a fridge larger than your initial booking. It is true, we do not have shampoo or conditioner in any of the rooms. We do have the products on the property and if a guests asks for it, we accommodate them. We are a motel, which is where a motorist rests his or her head, a hotel has the amenities of home. We are a no frills place, but we are clean and offer beach access directly across the street and are within walking distance of everything. The Venetian blinds were broken apparently by the previous guest and would not open and shut. We appreciate you telling us, because they were replaced immediately. As for the room you ended up with, that was also an upgraded room from the one you reserved. It was a 2 room kitchen unit with a queen bed. It had a stove, full size fridge and kitchen table. The one you booked was a single 12x10' room with a college size fridge and microwave (see pictures associated with the four queen rooms we have). With all your complaining, you forgot to mention how we assign parking by vehicle size and you forgot where your spot was, so instead of asking the front desk, Kevin not, Eric, you took the spot closest to your upgraded room, which was the spot of an elderly couple with a handicap wife. When the husband confronted you in the morning, instead of apologizing for making her walk to her room, you insinuated he was a liar bc there was no handicap ramp to the room. The woman used a cane to step up the two steps to the concrete landing. What I say is a waste is having to respond my hard working time to rectify your review.

There was an issue with booking through the site with my debit card. Also Travelocity allowed us to book a single guest bed however the hotel didn’t actually have a room with a single queen bed available. Jennifer with the front desk was awesome. I called the hotel after receiving the email about the issue with my card and she resolved it an actually upgraded our room due to the portal allowing us to book a room they didn’t actually have. She was very nice, helpful and provided great customer service. We arrived early and she allowed us to checkin a little early and park. This allowed us to be able to park at the hotel instead of paying 30 dollars at a parking lot. We were also able to check into the room and settle our belonging and then enjoy the. Each right away. Jennifer was amazing and our stay was very pleasant. I will definitely be booking at Grand View hotel in the future and recommend the hotel to family and friends.

Room to small for tha price I'm not happy the bed needs to be replaced
