Can't recommend this hotel enough!

Pros: You can't beat the view and the beautiful decor, including separate nooks and crannies of tasteful sitting areas.
Cons: The restaurant hours were a little limiting, with short windows of time for lunch and dinner starting at 7:45.
Location: We took a 45 minute drive to Sorrento to walk around, shop, and eat.
We stayed at several hotels throughout Italy, and this was our favorite by far! The entire experience here was incredible, and the views indescribable! We were upgraded to the junior suite, which included enormous sliding glass doors leading to a very large balcony with 2 lounge chairs, two chairs, and a table. The room itself featured a separate sitting area, and two generous closets with plenty of storage space. The room was beautiful and immaculate, and the service, from baggage to reception to the waitstaff, was extremely attentive. I can't count how many waiters attended to us at dinner! And the complimentary breakfast was extensive. One advantage of this hotel to others we saw in passing was the parking area. Many others had cars parked along the very narrow and winding roads. In short, I wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend this hotel.

An amazing hotel built into the mountain cliff.

Pros: The uniquness
Location: Seta bus stops in front of hotel and you can get to Positano, Amalfi or Priano in under 40 minutes.
The hotel is an amazing feat of engineering. It is built into the mountain. To get to the pool you need to take several lifts and walk thru a cave. The staff is bit disinterested and not overly enthusiastic about helping or suggesting tours or restaurants.

Beautiful Property-Service & accommodations lackin

Pros: It is a beautiful property. The views are spectacular.
Cons: A lot! Starting with the attitude of the staff. They were not accommodating and sometimes rude. The beds need replacing.
Location: Phenomenal restaurant in Praiano for dinner named Ristorante La Strada - Pizza place Che Bonta in town -
When we arrived it was a relief to leave our car with the porter and go to the lobby to check in. We arrived after check in time, however our room was not ready. We went down to the pool to eat lunch at the restaurant as they got our luggage to our room and room ready. After an hour and a half we went to our room and no luggage. Another half hour before our luggage arrived. Waiting for our bathing suits to hit the beach seemed like forever. Staff was not accommodating when asked about massage or other off premise activity. WiFi did not work on day two and were told it would be looked into. After an entire day at the beach we returned to the room to no WiFi. Frustrating! Finally the man came and unplugged and plugged the router - it worked - a simple fix. We walked to town and when returning checked our car for my hat. Surprisingly my car was unlocked! The porter never secured my vehicle after parking it. Restaurant was closed due to wedding and offered a buffet for 40Euro a person. We made reservations for 9:00 and there were no seats. They got a table for us, but the buffet was picked over and not replenished. The food was mediocre at best. The beds were terribly uncomfortable and my 6' teenage boys slept on a pull out chair. Otherwise the room was nice other than being dated. This hotel is not worthy of being 4 star. We paid more $$ for this hotel than any of the other 7 hotels in Italy and expected more service and charm.

Amazing structure perched over a cliff

This is one of those once in a life time places that you will likely never see anywhere else in the world. The hotel is an incredible miracle of engineering beautifully clinging on to the edge of the cliff. It's located between praiano and Positano, perfectly accessible to everything but away from the tourist traps. The views from every part of the hotel are out of this world. The beach is private and only accessible to the guests or by boat. The staff are all friendly and courteous. Breakfasts are fantastic. The restaurant for dinner was average plus and somewhat overpriced. It has 2 lovely sea water pools. Don't miss the climb up/ down stairs to the sea level. Amalfi coast is beautiful, and hotel tritone not only captures but contributes to its beauty.

Disappointing - NOT 4 STAR

Pros: Aside from the problems above, this hotel is a BEAUTIFUL property. The sea is wonderful the pools refreshing - the hotel itself is dated.
Cons: Attitude needs approval. Asked about a massage and was told someone could come in - no other information given. Mattresses need to be replaced.
Location: Not recommend eating at the hotel. Phenomenal restaurant in town La Brace! Che Bonta for pizza - bought prosciutto/salami and bread at store
This was our last hotel stay in Italy after staying in 6 previous hotels on our trip. We had planned to stay here at the end of our trip in this beautiful 4 star hotel as our "piece de resistance" so to speak. We looked forward to relaxing beauty. We spent more at this hotel than any other hotel and with it being 4 star we were excited to arrive. When we pulled up we unloaded and gave the keys to the attendant to park the car. When we arrived our room was not ready and it was after check-in time. No problem, we went down to the restaurant by the sea and ate lunch. An hour later we went up to the lobby expecting our bags to be in our room and ready. We were showed us our room which was nice - but no luggage. So we waited another half hour for luggage to get into our suits to swim. Beds were TOTALLY uncomfortable (even for Italy's standard). There was an event that night so restaurant was closed and they offered a buffet. We made reservations for 9:00 and when we went there was no table available - they had to get a table and the buffet was all picked offer and they did not replenish it. Not worth the money. Sunday we walked into town and walked back to the hotel - I happened to see our car and looked to see if I left my hat in there - I had and the car was unlocked! UNACCEPTABLE! WiFi in room was not working for an entire day and they were "looking into it" - all we needed to do was unplug and plug the router. Breakfast was average - staff attitudes marginal.
