The Westin is a destination hotel. In every way we enjoyed our stay and have each time we've been here. The combination of features makes this resort magical and restorative. The Spa massages on the beach for instance were out of this world, both Arturo and Lourdes were amazing. Ordering food by the pool and eating at the restaurants were excellent. We will return here again and again and our adult children also love the Westin and feel the same way.

Upon check-in, we were told "Visa Debit Cards" are not accepted...I was not made aware of this prior to arrival but it's a different country to I had to split the cost between 2 cards...so be it. We ate at "Arrecifes Seafood & Steakhouse" on our first night...NEVER again!! The "steak" I ordered looked unacceptable and had a strange flavor that was so off, I spit it into my napkin!! I ordered some "agua chiles" instead and told them I wouldn't eat the "steak"...well, I should have just left because I got extremely sick!! I know they say beware of water in Mexico but I never expected to get this ill from food at a Westin property!! Definitely put a huge damper on my trip. The food options on property are awful...the only food that is edible is the poolside menu.

I love that the main pool was heated during my stay. It made it very easy to enjoy. Also, Humberto, the Activities Director, did an excellent job getting people involved in activities.

The staff was amazing, all of them went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. The only things that was "just ok" were the rooms, a bit outdated with stained furniture, but clean. Also, the drinks for the breakfast buffet were extra charges, not part of buffet. The pool was beautiful and the beach was great.

The staff here is top-rate. One of the staff members, Eve, was so accommodating to us that my husband and I joked about adopting her! The room was spacious, the pool was beautifully laid out, and everyone seemed to genuinely care about our satisfaction. The only negative were the extra costs --20% property fee, all food (and I mean ALL food) was extra, spa services cost far more than in the U.S. With that one exception, we were pleased with the Westin.
