Tacky hotel filled with stereotypical bad art.

Cons: Concentrate on the things that matter, not surface tack or flash.
Touted as an "Art" hotel, this space is filled with the worst stereotypical mass produced Iowa Art...cows....corn....everything Iowan's know is not the real story of this beautiful state. Plays right into the "hokey" ideas most outsiders have about the state of Iowa. Everything in this hotel is surface, with no attention to the real benefits of a great hotel... customer service or comfort. The shower has complicated fixtures that are loose and hard to keep water temperature regulated so you are constantly fiddling with the handle. Cars are parked outside in a lot across the street from the hotel with no protection. Breakfast lackluster with limp bacon and fluffy bagels.
