The front desk clerk was very helpful and the housekeeper did a good job. The room was very stuffy and there was no air conditioning. The waitress at breakfast was loud, aburpt and wouldn't ask the cook to put chocolate chips in the pancakes.

Quiet spot in the mountains.

We spent the night here while taking a class at King Arthur Baking. Very quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast buffet was good, nice selection, staff friendly and grounds and building quite lovely. Nice spot for a couples getaway.

Pros: The common area is large, yet cozy and comfortable and during my first stay there was a fire blazing away.
Cons: I really can not think of a single thing that could be improved upon.
Location: A five minute drive away is Simon Pearce Glassblowers. The inside of their store and their inventory were seen in the movie "Sweet Home Alabama".
This was the second time I have stayed here in the last month. My first stay was for three nights and my most recent stay was for two nights. Everything about this charming country inn is wonderful; from the innkeeper, to the staff, from the rooms, to the common areas and to the dining area, everything is wonderful and I highly recommend a stay with them.
