Cute B&B near the beach
Pros:one block from beach; some rooms have views of the ocean
Cons:test thermostat to make sure temp in the room is comfy
Location:1 block from beach and 1 block from Main Ave which has most of the shops/restaurants
I usually do not book B&Bs but we needed a place to stay for one night before heading to Spring Lake the next day. This was the best deal I found since it was near the ocean. I booked a room with a view (room 4). I'm glad I did because I loved the view, even though we are one block from the ocean. The hosts were really nice too. I think the wife's name is Viktoria. I asked if we can have a late check-out and she said we can stay as long as we like because nobody is coming that day. So we were able to leave our things in our room and walked to Asbury Park before coming back in the mid-afternoon. Breakfast was good too and they also allow you to put food/drinks in their fridge. We've never been to Ocean Grove so didn't know what to expect. Staying here definitely made it a great trip. The only issue we had was that it was so hot in the room we had to open the windows. It was early May and it was about high 40s-low 50s at night but even with windows open, it was still hot as not much air was coming in, so it was a little uncomfortable sleeping that night. I asked the host the next day and he said the thermostat was on and sometimes it gets too hot in some of the rooms. Overall, it was a great stay and I already recommended them to a couple we met on our trip to Spring Lake 2 days later.
