A Quiet, peaceful getaway with rocking chair porch and wooded walking trails around the 26 acre farm. This rural setting provides time to relax and breathe as well as pet and feed the goats, gather a few chicken eggs and ride an old tractor around the field. We are located within 30 minutes of multiple historic sites from both the Revolutionary and Civil War time periods. In fact, the brick tavern where we live was constructed in 1837! You can hear the clip-clop of Amish buggies going down the street, walk or bike on the High Bridge trail, grab some local diner food, or do a whole lot of nothing. Our county has one traffic light but miles of back roads. Take a leisurely drive around southern Virginia's farmland or stop at an Amish stand to buy baked goods, canned goods, quilts and more. We look forward to hosting you at The Shepherd's Tavern Retreat and Farm.
