5/5 Excellent

Great glamping spot.
Fun little getaway with my wife in the finger lakes. We enjoy visiting breweries, especially ones you don't have to leave. Site is nice and secluded. You do need to drive offroad through the woods to get to the site so just be mindful based on the vehicle you are driving.

We had a great time in Watkins Glen. That being said, there are some things you should know before going here. First of all- there is NO shade. It was sweltering hot from 9 am to 6 pm. I mean unbearable. We had to leave the campsite all day every day. You need to take something to create shade. Secondly- if you don’t have a vehicle that can take a beating you will have a very long walk to get back and forth from your vehicle to the campsite. We have a Subaru Outback so we could drive there. Thirdly- it is really made for 4 people. We had 6 and it was super crowded. You couldn’t move inside the tent with the cots set up. Lastly- it would be hard to prepare whole meals with the cooking situation. It’s a Small grate that you can put over the fire or a small charcoal grill. The owner was very nice. The whole area is beautiful with lots to do and see. I just expected more given what we paid to stay here. The whole thing is run down and in need of some TLC. It was nice, however to not have to take any tents, or blankets. There were also small lanterns and tiki torches provided. I never write bad reviews, and I don’t regret going here with my family, but I wouldn’t stay here again.
