It was a nice respite from the city heat. The room was spacious and the bathroom had a nice shower. The AC was very nice.

Wonderful people and location

This was a lucky find and my wife and I plan to return. Ten minute walk from Termini, with luggage. Five to Metro stations. Modern rooms in an old building. Opposite the Opera its a small place, half residences half rooms it seems, nine rooms. Old style elevator in the staircase. We had a grand view of the Opera and Piazza. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed. We enjoyed the restaurants and shopping right nearby, and Santa Maria Maggiore is a short walk, too. I recommend checking out Google Earth Street view to see what the entrance looks like.

Update pictures!

Pros: Some positives that the hotel has are: fancy bathroom ammenities, 1 block from a major street with shopping and transportation, movies and DVD player
Cons: A/C and electricity is all connected to your room key. You have to place the room key in a slot on the wall, so when you leave it is off.
Location: There is great shopping nearby. Just to the right of the Opera is a great restaurant with yummy lasagna, and a bar with a great espresso.
Our overall impression with this hotel when we arrived was disappointing. The pictures are old. The reception is crowded and not open all the time--they have hours between 8a-8pm. The rooms are small and bathrooms too. The breakfast area depicted in the picture is false. They offer breakfast at the restaurant right next door. Also, never saw a hotel bar. The elevator was really cool, but not brightly lit and open to the outside. The garden/patio is so over-grown that I was scared to go farther than the doorway. There was also a cat roaming around the garden. There weren't tables out in the garden to sit at. The Hallway/hotel entrance depicted in the pictures is open to the outside/street. Doors to the street are closed in the evenings. Previous reviews are right in saying it is hard to recognize, the picture with "exterior details" is all that is outside to find the hotel and the opera is straight across the street.

We are in positioned in the very Rome center, at a few steps from the Termini and Repubblica stations, and at a walking distance from the main cultural points. Precisely we are facing the Opera House. We are sorry your impressions about our hotel were disappointing. Official photos are updated and for any doubt can be compared with the ones that the guests leave on their reviews around the web. Everything is as seen online. We are sorry you did not appreciate our eco friendly electricity system. It has been thought to reduce the waste of power. We do understand that having a fresh room at the comeback is very nice, but our A\C system is very powerful and can refresh the room in a couple of minutes. We do our best to reduce the waste that can damage the environment as its a very important matter for us. We hope that you can understand why of this our choice. We are placed in a historical building, part of Rome's heritage. The big doors are closed during the night but you can easily enter with the key and there is also our inter phone. Reception is open from 8:00 to 22:00 and we give 24h assistance as the reception number is always available. We are sorry you have found always the reception crowded, this is the first time we hear this complaint, since we are not a very big Hotel it's very difficult to see the reception this way. The hotel have in every floor a free self service corner bar to do tea and coffees and the breakfast it's served in our bistrot "mescolando" placed in the same building, just around the corner, everything is as advertised everywhere. We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay but we hope we clarified at least the wrong impressions. Maybe in the future you will revalue our Hotel. Best regards

Clean and well appointed hotel in perfect location

Pros: The best thing is the location. It is in a nice neighborhood, and quiet, yet close to everything Rome has to offer.
Cons: Nothing
Location: It is a short walk to the train station, but just far enough to be completely removed from the sketchy train station neighborhoods.
Our check-in went smoothly, and we were delighted to receive certificates for 2 free pizzas next door to the hotel. Emilio checked us in and helped us throughout our stay by providing helpful information and useful advice. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. They even have a big screen TV with a substantial video library for those evening occasions where you are to worn out to explore Rome. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and perfect spot to launch daily excursions.
