I like the bathroom and that’s it. The bed was uncomfortable. We couldn’t figure how Turn odd the ac. Too cold. The water took forever to get hot wasted time. There was machine noise going on the whole Stay at the room including all night. We couldn’t sleep. And the most important they don’t provide any parking very disappointed. Too expense for what they offer.

the hotel was very nice. loved the look and feel of the hotel. the staff was pleasant and mice. they were very accommodating everytime i interacted with them. i would and hopefully will get the opportunity to come back and visit.

Love the old house, beautiful. Loud music from the ballroom was unpleasant but at least it stopped at 10:30pm. No refrigerator in the the room though. They also need more than 1 towel per person. I had to ask for more everyday, I dont like housekeeping coming in until we are done with the stay.

Boutique Hotel in Downtown Sacramento

Pros: Historic home converted into a comfortable boutique hotel.
Cons: Additional chair in room would add to overall comfort.
Location: Walking distance to Capitol park, quality restaurants and fine dining. Amtrak, Railroad museum, and Old Town Sacramento less than one mile away.
A weekend jaunt to tour the Capitol and Railroad museum. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating and visible at all times; breakfast offering was Continental-style, yet, fresh and nutritions. Rooms were clean, comfortable and functional. Suitable for business travelers too.

Was expecting a little better quality

Pros: Free breakfast
Cons: Noisy
Waited quite awhile to check in, finally had to call someone to come to the front desk. Room was decor was in poor condition, comforter was tattered and dust ruffle was torn. Bed was very lumpy. Jacuzzi had many cracks in it and when we tried to use the jets flew off and floated all over tub, kind of spoiled the whole taking a relaxing bath thing. Street noise is very load, there was even a police chase the night we were there and it sounded like we were on the street next to it. A lot of noise (people talking) from the restaurant down stairs until almost midnight. And even though it is non smoking, I still smelled cigarette smell in our room (I am very sensitive to it). I guess my expectations were a little high. I am glad that we only paid what we did and not any more, I think I would have left.

We got a very good deal online, which made it a better value

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet
Cons: Noisy
Not a bad place to stay. Great location, yes it's an old building but it seems well maintained. I'm sure you can find a more elegant hotel but this place has character and overall value. I would stay again for sure.

Whirlpool tub had 40-50 hairs sitting in the bottom! Staff were friendly, accomodating. Building was beautiful.

Cons: unclean
Staff were friendly. Room was pretty, large and right next to check in/lobby. After I filled the hot tub to take a bath and climbed into it, the jets wouldn't turn on and they kept falling out and floating around the tub. We were moved to an upstairs (Crocker Suite) room. I went to draw the hot tub (since this is why we moved rooms) to discover 40-50 dark brown hairs across the entire bottom of the tub! There were still soap rings and water scum lines. Had clearly NEVER been cleaned from the last person who floated in there! The manager offered to come and "wipe it out" for us. I declined-I am a RN and it's not what I CAN see that worries me as much as what I couldn't see that I'd be floating in!!! The manager did not offer apologies or even seem embarrassed by any of this.
