Decent hotel, accessible to town, large room, nice deck are the pros.Plus the chef who arrived at 5:30am, saw me wiring on my laptop in the dark lobby (front desk staff not there yet to turn on lights, and I din't want to wake my partner), and he kindly offered and brought me coffee, then a refill. Really lovely guy. The cons are fan didn't work in bathroom, jets didn't work in jacuzzi (that was in the room, very 80s), and wifi never worked for more than a few minutes. Plus you has to go outside to go into the newly renovated pub/breakfast place - not great if you wanted to stay in you slippers. The worst experience was from front staff checking out when I shared these cons with the clerk and he replied, "Oh well, you had the lowest price room so..." implying if we'd paid more, we would have had all items working. A really unfortunate answer that left a bitter taste, and I'm afraid we probably won't return because of that.

Thanks for taking the time to write with your experience. I am so sorry we didnt do a better job addressing your concerns and comments when you checked out. In many cases we can address issues better as they happen and its more difficult to solve issues upon departure, I will speak to our team about how we can better address guest comments and your feedback will be very useful. The power outage during the windstorm really did a number on the wifi but it has been repaired, the fan and jacuzzi were fixed that day thanks to your feedback. Again I am sorry that some really good staff interactions didnt outweigh the negative. Thank you again for taking the time to write and I am sorry your experience was not perfect.
