Hotel was right in old town. We had a terrible time trying to locate it. We called and Seda came to us and drove with us to the hotel. Thank you Seda!! The hotel is not air conditioned. The fan helped a bit.

Rude and unhelpful staff

First- the website stated that there were laundry facilities. Upon arrival, I asked where they were located in the building- I was told "we don't have any, you can go back to train station to do laundry". Second- the phone in the room had missing buttons, soon realized it was probably because they don't want you contacting front desk. When I asked for an extra pillow- I was told "you need to come get it yourself". When I did, the man behind the desk appeared annoyed that he had to get up from his chair to retrieve the pillows. Third- I asked front desk staff where I could purchase an item- I was told " in the pub next door". I thought that strange, but went over to ask... needless to say, they didn't sell that item. No welcome drink offered. No assistance, or directions to find our room. Very old building that has not been well maintained- even the phone in the hallway was broken. Linen old, rough and was mismatched colors. I will go back to Salzburg, but I'd never stay there again!

Old yet modern

Great location for walking to museums and special sites. Great area to learn of the history.

Guest comfort is not important

Pros: The breakfast was excellent with good variety and quality products.
Cons: Train front desk people to smile an to care about guest comfort
Location: Cesky Krumlow is a beautiful small town with a lot of charm
We arrived at 11 am and were told our rooms were not ready, to come back at 3 pm which we did after leaving our luggage unsecured next to the reception desk, not continuously attended. At 3 pm we were the first to check-in. We were assigned a room all the way in the back hotel on the second floor, overlooking a back street. There was no a/c so we asked if it was safe to sleep with the windows open as there we were not too high from the street and there were no bars. We were told "no problem, the back alley is part of our complex, it's our staff quarters". The next morning we were awakened by shouts and construction machinery noise as of 6:15 am: they were digging for drainage pipes and laying cobble stones right under our window! This went on all day so a nap became impossible. When we complained to the front desk we were told that the work had anything to do with them, that the municipality was in charge. So obviously somebody had lied: was it their property or not in the back? Why assign that room to us in the first place when the hotel was not full (this was confirmed by the reception attendant) knowing all about the work and noise in the back? Clearly they don't care about the comfort of their guests!
