I guess you get what you pay for.

Pros: It was quiet.
Cons: Fire the night manager, stop charging for parking, monitor the types of vehicles being parked, monitor the breakfast and ensure all guests can eat.
Location: Its in Downtown San Diego. Its near to many activities ranging from Balboa Park to the beach.
As a seasoned traveler, the best I can say is that this was just barely an average hotel at best. Selected only because it was a holiday weekend and this hotel was the only reasonably priced offering in downtown San Diego that had rooms available. Nothing was great. The parking lot is not large enough to accommodate all of their customers. Half of the guests drove the biggest trucks made and made parking impossible as well as impossible to get out of the parks. Hotel charged a daily fee of $15 which is not disclosed by Travelocity. Free Breakfast is not good, seating is not adequate and the food was not resupplied quickly enough for volume of hotel guests. If you want a waffle, you have to knock on the office door to ask for batter. Only one machine to cook a waffle with 10 guests waiting for it. A huge multi-family vacation staying at this hotel hogged the dining at all times making other guests leave. My son got sick one night at about 2 am on our bed. Called the front desk as we needed supplies and bed sheets. The Hotel Manager who brought us a change of sheets and towels was not pleasant or understanding and was visibly irritated, hardly willing to help, and complained. As we were told by a different manager the next day, the night manager likes that shift as its usually uneventful so he has little to no work all night and doesn't like getting disturbed. Apparently helping his hotel guests during a time of emergency also is outside of his job description.

Nice motel close to Petco Park and Gas Lamp

Nice, friendly staff. Small, clean rooms. Quiet. Had to pay 15 dollars for parking. All in all, a nice place to stay. Not fancy...
