Small, condensed hotel. Great location. Bar on top floor had 2 areas blocked off for parties so there no place to sit. Too small of a bar to block off areas if you want the people staying at the hotel to enjoy it

Love that this is in the gaslamp quarter.. walking distance to everything and the rooftop bar was great.

This hotel was nice and clean. The staff very helpful including the personnel who worked on the late shift. The hospitality was the best I ever experience. Really the location was on point. The room was like being at the Motel 6 small. The vibe of the room could have been felt if it was a little larger. Although I still love my stay there

Only thing i was disappointed in was not having a microwave in my room. Other than that, property was beautiful!

Great location very central to gsslsmp night scene and close to the convention center. Down fall ionly velet parking which is $47 ,per night.

Nice hotel, close to great activities in the city

Pros: The Nolen rooftop bar was great! Have an old-fashioned when you go!
Location: Walking distance to Petco Park and so many many restuarants/clubs. It is in the heart of the Gaslamp District so there is lots going on.
The staff was so friendly and responsive to our needs. Plus they made some good restaurant recommendations.

Very nice hotel but too pricey.

Cons: Parking fee and the free breakfast needs to be noted on the Travelocity site.
Although we did find that the hotel is very nice, It is overpriced. The rooms although comfortable, nice & modern and in good condition, it was small (we reserved the room with 2 queen beds). Also, I was disappointed by the fact that there is no parking at the hotel and the valet parking was $47.00. It's an additional cost to already an expensive room. And the staff's reply is, well that's San Diego downtown for you. We purchased the room with breakfast, later to find out it's not the normal buffet style breakfast but something you have to order. And there is a limit to the free breakfast. It is only for 2. Travelocity needs to specify these little details so the person making the booking won't be caught off guard.

Nice hotel, close to everything

Our arrival was non-eventful. Pull up, hand the keys to valet and you get brief on what to do to get your car ready. At the front desk when checking in, without delay, you're quickly handed your cards and briefed on the fact that the nightclub across the street can be bothersome on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. So the hotel provides white noise machines and war plugs. Up in the room is a nice, clean, and modern design that gives off cleanliness. Housekeeping does the right things, no complaints. And no complaints about the hotel and staff. I will definitely come back.

Close to PetCo Park and Convention Center

Pros: The location was perfect, since I was there for a conference being held two blocks away.
Cons: The beds - specifically, the mattresses were not comfortable. My husband and i agree that we can't imagine spending a week sleeping in that bed.
Location: PetCo Park is a five minute walk away. Gaslamp bars and restaurants in walking distance. The SD Convention Center is less than 10 minutes away.
The came to fame for this hotel is the rooftop bar, The Nolen (it is mentioned as a hot spot in several print and social media outlets as a go-to spots in the city). The Nolen has a great view of the city; in fact, you can even see into PetCo Park (no, you can't see the game itself - just the stands). It was definitely a lovely place to visit! The hotel itself is compact; the lobby, the front desk, even the restaurant area all fit into a tiny footprint. The rooms are also quite compact; this is NOT the hotel if you are looking for a place to stretch out and just hang out. It is perfect, though, if you are looking for a place to sleep and shower, with plans to go outdoors for the day. It is great for the evening, too; the hotel is within steps of plenty of Gaslamp nightspots and restaurants. The staff were uniformly friendly, and helpful as they could be. In that sense, it feels more like a lobby of a coop than a hotel. Literally, it was impossible to walk in the door without someone speaking to you and checking in.
