Courtyard Marriott Union Square

Pros: You can walk to any number of restaurants. The hotel staff was top notch.
Cons: Not sure there is much they can improve upon.
Location: As mentioned, there are a number of restaurants within easy walking distance. Easy enough to catch a cab/uber to nearby tourist locations.
The hotel itself it decent and in a convenient location. The major issue is the all night activity on Post street, especially fire trucks. It can be tough to get a full night's sleep.

Staff wonderful, room size very small

The room was not bigger than the cabin on a cruise we took last year. I felt the bathroom was claustrophobic. The bathroom wall was painted in a morningafter tequila sunrise fashion. The hot water in the bathroom sink was rigged to stop or curtail water flow. The morning we left, my husband figured out the system. The room was clean enough, but tiny. The neighbors were quite loud, the walls thin. When my husband finally called the desk at 11:30, the staff was right on it, and the neighbors settled in quietly. The bistro was new, no menus available, no room service. The staff, again, was again as accommodating as could be. Perhaps a bit more time will be helpful. The location was borderline to Union Square (which was torn apart) Something of which I was unaware ahead of time. Many other portions of the city are also being renovated. Too bad we did not know ahead of time.
