Thank you for your review. Yes some guests prefer our main building. Next time you make a reservation request that. Other guests always request the building you stayed in as they love being able to pull their car right in front of their room. Thanks for staying with us.

Reservation Mixup

Pros: The original room that we reserved was clean, modern, and comfortable.
Cons: Make sure that room availability is correct and do not accept reservations for unavailable rooms. If a mistake is made, contact the customer.
Location: Port Clinton is a nice little lakeside town. It is close to Put-In-Bay, Cedar Point, and African Lion Safari.
I reserved a room type for 3 nights, and my reservation was accepted. When I arrived at the hotel, they told me that the room I reserved was only available for the first night, and I would have to move to a different type of room that didn't meet my needs for the next two nights. I was forced to find other accommodations. While the hotel manager was willing to tell Travelocity they could refund my money for the last two nights, she made no attempt to correct the mistake or to offer us compensation.

Close to everything

Hotel was nice and it was close to all we wanted to do. It is next to the highway so it was easy to go anyplace. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Nice and Close to Downtown Port Clinton

Had a nice stay and the staff was very helpful. The hotel is in walking distance to many of the local sites and places to eat. We stayed in the main building.

Good value

Pros: Proximity and value to our destinations
Cons: Some details are dated or damaged. Some repair around the brass and metal fixtures in the rooms is needed
Location: Christmas in July on the islands, Cedar Point, Miller's Ferry, Put in Bay, Lake Erie
I follow my nose and it only had good things to report on this hotel. It is a little dated, but they seem to make every attempt at providing a clean, sweet smelling environment to not distract you from being there. Especially like some of the details like the decorative bed covers. It was like staying at your parents becuase they included a note "no eating on the beds" and we agree!

Great value, great location

Pros: Location and charm
Cons: I'd recommend replacing bedcovers
Location: Eat at 1812!! Close to Put-in-Bay which I hear is a fun day trip. I think you can catch a ferry here in town
We stayed here for an overnight to be close to Cedar Point (21-30 minutes away). The staff was very helpful and friendly and the room, while dated and a bit worn, worked out perfectly for us. The receptionist recommended two restaurants and we ate nearby (walked) to 1812--very memorable dinner!! The town is charming and I don't think you could do better for a suite within walking distance to the water and town for this price!

Good value

A nice little hotel. Not fancy but clean and pleasant. Good location, in town and close to public beach and in-town restaurants. Not too far from fast food places, Walmart, a winery and a lighthouse. Very good value. I'd stay there again. The pool is small but lovely. The attached restaurant is OK--lots of seafood, which is not something I like. I liked being able to walk from hotel to various breakfast places and restaurants as well as being able to walk out the door and around the residential areas.

Weekend Driving Trip

Good location. Close to ferry and Jet Express to other Lake Erie Islands. Kitchen was large enough to cook if we had planned an extended stay. Front desk was nice and efficient. The pool was small, but well cared for. The hotel itself had the feel and charm of a B&B. Great value for the $$$.
