Charming Santa Barbara Inn

Pros: It's location, architecture, charm, cleanliness, beautiful and extensive grounds, excellent buffet breakfast, and very nice staff.
Cons: For those staying upstairs who have difficulty with staircases, a wonderful addition would be a small elevator.
Location: Great location for visiting the Museum of Art, the Mission Santa Barbara, taking an architectural tour of the county courthouse & the Red Tile walk.
The Cheshire Cat Inn is a charming inn with beautifully decorated rooms, each named for a character in Alice in Wonderland. The generous grounds behind are well landscaped with shade trees and seating that provide a lovely outdoor alternative for reading and relaxing. Located just one block off of State Street in downtown Santa Barbara, it is convenient to local restaurants, stores, museums and other activities.

It's All in the Details

From the fresh flowers throughout, to the treats and wine served in the meticulously maintained garden, the Cheshire reflects a commitment to the details that make for a beautifully memorable experience. The attentive staff was both helpful and courteous, and each room offered a charming retreat for guests. Breakfasts were generous and the location is convenient to most of what Santa Barbara has to offer.

Beyond our expectations!

Pros: The location can't be beat. The rooms are very unique, not just from one another, but from any other in inn the area.
Cons: Nothing. From check in to check out, it was easy and a pleasure. The staff is so nice and the grounds are beautiful. And it's free parking!
Location: State Street is very close, where there are bars, restaurants and shopping. That's one of the reasons we love staying there so much.
We stayed at the Cheshire Cat in January for my fiance's birthday, and decided to plan a last minute trip back up for our anniversary in April. And when we got there, we were pleasantly surprised with what we found! They had set up a small bottle of local wine and local chocolates with a welcome back note. It's the little things like that which make you happy to support a small business. It didn't cost them much, but it made us feel special and gave us an excuse to sit down and relax, while we enjoyed our gift. We will definitely be coming back often. The rooms are so unique and very special. I did a lot of research before we booked the first time, and didn't find anything that could come close to comparing to what the Cheshire Cat had to offer. By the time we decided to take a trip for our anniversary, I didn't even look for another place to stay. We went straight to the Cheshire Cat, and just upgraded our room for the occasion.

Cons: Noithing.
Location: There is a lot of information about Santga Barbara, CA on the Internet. Go for it.
Enjoyable and restful. Great breakfast included. That's all folks. Remember that line from yesteryear?
