The property was clean, safe and nice. Its best feature is the location. The property is located across for Santa Barbara's main pier and around the corner from State street which is where most of the restaurants, bars and shops are located.

Third floor room had some nice views, even though not facing the water directly, I could still see some of the shoreline. Great location, right across from the beach. Staff nice, and the room was clean and tastefully decorated.

great location

Pros: location
Cons: price is a little high for what you get.
Location: close to shopping
right accross from the beach. just stayed one nite, but it was very nice Front desk could use some improvement they did everything they could to suck an extra $20 out of me to get a king bed rather than 2 queens. paying for parking here is a rip off for sure.

Close to beach and main drag

Pros: The rooms were nice and the bed was comfortable.
Cons: Didn't care for the balcony above the coffee shop, not very private.
Location: Beach, shopping and close to interstate.
I thought the hotel was very nice. The front desk talked me into upgraded my room. However, the sink leaked all on the floor and my friend slipped. I mentioned this at check out and the only reply I got was "oh sorry about that". I would have at least expected a discount for the upgrade.

over priced

The front desk staff and bellhop were nice, but I felt that the hotel is over priced. We were given a room on the first floor where the sliding door faced a canal, and we could not open the doors because of the smell. The bed was terribly uncomfortable. The smoke alarm sounded at 5am for 20 minutes. My kids feet were black from running around barefoot on the carpet. Even after all of that the most annoying part was the checkout. Checkout was at noon and we were a couple of minutes late returning from the hotel restaurant (because of the poor service at the restaurant) and we were promptly locked out of our room at noon! We were given a few minutes to grab our bags and as we were moving our bags hotel security opened the door to our room and asked if we were leaving. Strange, since we are a quiet family of 4 (2 adults and 2 young children) and not a bunch of rowdy party animals.. The hotel is across the street from the beach and pier, but the water is full of stingrays on the shoreline and virtually unusable. Do not go to the restaurant, service was horrible. There is a rude waitress (Lauren) that doubles as the bartender and could not be more rude if she tried. Your best bet is to walk 1/2 block north to Sambo's. Food at Sambo's was great and service was fast and friendly.
