The ratings lead me to believe this would be much nicer than it was. The rooms are okay but dated. The property is behind an apartment building and a gas station. Room smelled like mold. Staff was nice.

It is close enough to walk to the main hub of activity (State Street) and also to the harbor, but it takes about 10 minutes to the water and maybe 15-20 to get to state street. It has a nicely maintained interior courtyard where the rooms are located. Parking seemed more than sufficient to handle the size of the hotel. And you can get bicycles from the neighboring hotel. Rooms are good. Just have to request cleaning service each morning.

The room had dirty linens and comfortable with blood stains. The management refused to provide replacement. You don’t get what you pay for.

I don’t know who rated this property that high, but I would never stay there. There is a low test apartment complex in the same alley as the hotel with guys working on cars at night. My room was at the end of the building and one window look into the property lobby with no opening and the other one I had in red vacancy sign out front glowed through the window all night long. I could have stayed at the Fess Larker for $60!more than this place, but was trying to find new properties with the exit of IHG in the areas. This one was a mistake…stay away.

I see your arrival time was after 9:30p, which was why we no options to accommodate your preferences. Here at The Inn By The Harbor we list multiple beautiful rooms here with all kinds of bedding types that can view the garden and/or the pool and spa area. We will flag your res and make sure to give you priority. We hope that you give us another chance to give you a better experience for one of your visits to Santa Barbara.
